I guess this little feature failed its trial run?
At times, it really seemed like I was one of maybe two or three people actually using it, but I liked it. It was a way to +1 someone without taking up an entire post to write "+1". But, at the same time, it didn't seem to be catching on.
Anyway, it was fun while it lasted ...

I had hoped it would steer people to be more constructive if they saw it was ill or well received. I am open to debate about turning it back on though.

If there's debate on turning it back on, I'm in favor. Though, from the looks of how much use it got, it doesn't look like many others would be too. And that's fine.

I never looked at any statistics on usage, but to me it seemed like it was being abused by people with grudges. In other words, "I don't like you, so I'm going to vote down every single post of yours no matter what." It has too much of a potential for being used as a referendum on the users themselves rather than their posts.
