In Topic: The Devils are bad and it's time to tank

I think PDB will be fired soon. And I believe he's not to blame. He did the best he could with what he was given. I'm guessing Dave Barr will take over and this season will go on with same results.

Folks, there is no magic trade that will fix this. On a positive note, we've got a decent young D core, and Lou has go outside the org for fw's.  Let's go Devils!

Tank or not, we all know who the Devils are going to draft.  Lou loves familiarity.

In Topic: The Devils' Right Wing Issue

I wish NJ had what it took to get him, but I don't think they do unless they are willing to move Henrique.  Perron is exactly what NJ needs on RW and is theoretically affordable.

Perron is left wing (shoots left as well)  How does he fit within our system? Not a good fit imo. Jordan Eberle? We don't have enough for him.

Too bad we don't have a top line center to dangle to Edm.  i would not want D. Perron. It would take more to pry Eberle away, but that might put us further into the hole. Damn, where's Pikkareinen when you need him?

Injury Situation:
K. Zajac and Janssen came into the weekend injured and remain out indefinitely. Also up front, Timmins was injured after Saturday's game and missed Sunday's action. Pelley had to leave Sunday's game with an injury but it seems minor. On defense, Kelly missed Sunday's game after leaving the previous day after the first period and Scarlett also missed the game due to an injury that made him leave Saturday's game after the second period. Due to call ups and suspensions the Devils only had 4 healthy D on the roster so they signed former Trenton Titan and Albany player Eric Baier to a tryout from Orlando (ECHL).
Albany defeated Bridgeport 5-2. Thompson led the way with a goal and an assist. Burlon, Hrabarenka, Baier, and Johnson also scored for the Devils with Sislo, Boucher, Black, McKelvie, Whitney, and Faust picking up assists. Kinkaid stopped 26 of 28 shots as the Devils outshot the Sound Tigers 32-28. The Devils went 1/7 on the PP and 3/3 on the PK. Here is the gamesheet and highlights:

I thought Thompsons (pp) goal was awesome. Not sure if he's on a two way, but he might get a cup of coffee with the big club. (not suggesting to give him a look because of a pretty goal) but overall play. imo, kincaid probably would've played as well against Calgary
