ROCHESTER, New York (Ticker) -- Rookie Adrian Foster scored twice, including the winning tally, to lead the Albany River Rats to a 4-2 victory over the Rochester Americans. Foster, selected 28th overall by New Jersey in 2001, appeared in just his second professional game after leaving the Brandon Wheat Kings of the Western Hockey League. The 20-year-old broke a 2-2 tie with his first career goal, a power-play marker midway through the third period, and netted his second of the game with 3:39 remaining in the contest. Christian Berglund opened the scoring with his fifth tally at 9:27 of the first period and combined with Greg Crozier to assist Foster on both of his goals for Albany, which has taken four of its last five games. Scott Clemmensen stopped 29 of 31 shots for the win. Karel Mosovsky and Peter Ratchuk both scored and Ryan Miller made 20 saves in the loss for Rochester, which has dropped five of its last six."

Was Foster in a trade equation at the deadline?  Can he help this team when the bench is expanded?

Looking at the Devs roster (and the East) prior to the start of the season, are you happy with their current position in the standings at this time?

Was just thinking (dangerous), I wish I had the chance to ask Stevens if he could remember his favorite goal: when and where was it?

Then it hit me!   Could the Admins here get a Dev online for a 15 to 30 minute Q/A?  Know it's a tough call, but could you get Danton online so we can "chat" with him.  

Many of us have met with members of the team over the years. Just thought it would be cool if we could ask our questions ahead of time and have Red or one of the Admins here pick the questions (out of a hat before... whatever) while live online with the player.

Just a thought.  Please expand on the idea if you care to, (tough to get anybody this time of year) but could be fun: ex... "Marty live tonight at 8:00PM, send your questions and we'll throw them his way!"  Again, just a thought.

NJ still needs more! Cracks me up! Typical fans here that can't grasp the fact that NJ has won 2 Cups while WE ARE STILL rebuilding "ON THE FLY" since 95! Meanwhile, the rest of the NHL try to catch up while the system here works financially and also WINS CUPS!

What have the Rangers done since 94? Lose. Philly, Clarke is still trying to figure out what Lou is doing while they lose. Let's just talk East and see what NJ has done as a Team that resides primarily on a fan base in 5 NJ counties that wins CUPS! It CONFOUNDS THE REST OF THE LEAGUE!

Every game you cry about because the Devs lose by a goal, remember that the fans at the Garden, Boston, Philly, LA, Toronto, and Ottawa will always look over their shoulder and what NJ is doing with a 53 million budget. The highest payroll we've had!

What team over the last 20 years, since "real" free agency has delivered like the Devils? Red Wings=$$$$ while The Lions are nothing! Get the point! Stop the crying and be happy with a team that will go down in history as one of the best!
