#1220182 GDT: Devils @ Bruins 7PM: BRODEUR in Beantown

What a relief. This kind of wins remind me why I enjoy watching hockey. Great to see Marty finally get his 1st W out of the way, the team win one on the road and a come back they actually manage to pull off. Probably not a breakthrough, but a hell of a game to watch!

Good for him, Patty is the man! One of the most solid Devils ever.

#1132608 The NHL must have loved LA winning the cup

Well, that's why all the media were jerking off to the thought of a potential Rangers - Kings SCF... "It would be great for the NHL, blah, blah, blah..." :blahblah:

I always hated that argument. If you want to win the Stanley Cup, DRESS A GOOD TEAM FFS! I don't give a sh!t how many fans you have, how loud they are, how big your city is or how many papparazzis your town has following hockey players everywhere! When they establish a trophy for "the most arrogant fanbase" or "the most irritating media in the world", you'll get your shot. But Stanley Cup is awarded to the best team ON THE ICE. The only thing that's "good for hockey" is the best team in the NHL winning the Cup. Deal with it.

Aaah, now I feel better... :P

#1115243 GDT: Eastern Conference Semis - Game 2 NJ @ Philadelphia - 5/1/12

Posted by Revan on 02 May 2012 - 08:06 AM

Wow...just wow...in a season full of pleasant surprises, this one was the best by far.

I thought the Devils would find a way to win one game in this series (maybe two if everything broke right), but I thought if they did win, they wouldn't come close to doing it the way they did last night...if anything, I would've had them winning a Game 1-type game, where afterwards you say, "How the hell did they win THAT one?" This game was so impressive on so many levels...I'll be the first to admit I didn't think they had a game like that in them, not with this matchup, not against that opponent. And as the game unfolded, it would've been so crushing if they couldn't have gotten one past Bryzgalov...and it's not like we haven't seen games like that, when the Devils simply can't put one past the opposing goaltender no matter what they do, even if that goalie's pedigree is nothing special.

This game showed me the Flyers are beatable. I don't know if it was about the Devils shutting them down defensively and tactically or it was just an off-night for the Flyers, but I was really excited last night. By far the Devils' best game of these playoffs. It's worth noting the Flyers haven't scored less than 2 goals in their previous games this postseason.

#1067754 24/7 Rangers Flyers

Posted by Revan on 27 November 2011 - 07:30 PM

The series premieres on December 14, but a healthy preview is already here:

24/7 was absolutely awesome last year and it really made my December (ironically, I found it more interesting to watch than the Classic itself...), but, man, does it suck to watch the Rangers AND the Flyers in it at the same time. Too bad the NHL made me not watch the series or the game this year. :(

#986066 Lindy Ruff

Wow, kind of weird to imagine him anywhere but in Buffalo. If he indeed bolts in the summer, I'd LOVE to see him in Jersey.

Dear Devils!

You can lose any number of games you want this season. It's a lost cause anyway and at least you're going to get a top class prospect for playing like sh!t all season long. But if you quit against the RANGERS, I'm going to be MAD. Please win tonight.
