He didn't want to hurt him. Why would you look at the puck when you're lining someone up for a hit? He hurt him because he wasn't prepared to take the hit at all because he wasn't paying attention to what was coming his way right in front of him and he fell awkardly into the boards because at the last possible moment he tried to get out of the way, which is the reason Janssen got his head instead of the shoulder.

He didn't wait for him to get near the boards, either. That's just where he happened to be when Janssen got to him.

its the fact that we was looking at him for a long time, and kinda waited till he got closer to the boards to hit him
it was obviously late, and he was going for the head, so i think he hit him, but thats my opinion, you got your right to yours

It was illegal.

And 2 seconds??? Are you kidding me, anyone who thinks 2 seconds is long enough must have never played ice hockey. It was a late hit. I would be saying the same thing if it was a Toronto player who did it to a Devil player. Yes it was clean, but it was late.

If you've never been illegally checked where your going into the boards head first so fast that you cant even put your arms up to brace yourself then you have no idea. I speak from experience when I tell you it scares the $hit out of you.

yea good point, alot of people complain about things that happen and can say stuff about kaberle doing something wrong
but they dnt know what theyd do on the ice

dnt like to do it, but gotta blame janssen, it was late, well after the 1 second limit
i know that limit is sometimes extended, but its only if your gonna like push the guy a lil bit
when your gonna hit a guy like he did 2-3 seconds late, when you knew he got rid of it, and the puck was way off, you got to expect the nhl to step in

you can tell though that jannsen wanted to hurt him, he didnt even look at the puck when he passed it, he waited for him to get near the boards and hit him

it was definetly late
like 2-3 seconds
he deserved a suspension, i mean, i know everyone wants to defend janssen, but cmon, in all honesty, it was late, and he went for his head, it was kinda dirty
