#1142512 Shane Doan

I'm sorry but how is a perennial playoff team and the defending eastern conference champions one of the least desirable teams in the league to play for?

Fair enough - wrong place.
I was just hoping people weren't going to continue their anger-fest onto Larry.

But still, ease the hell up. Don't come into this place once a month, kick your feet up on our coffee table, and tell us that we're all bad fans because a few of our fellow members are dopes.

EXACTLY.

As a CAPTAIN of a team in the STANLEY CUP FINALS.

Good grief. This is just getting worse folks.

The guy was a fraud, let's just be honest here.

Didn't you say you were leaving a few days ago? Damn, I thought you'd be a man of your word. Git.

Yup.

But unlike 90% of the rest of the shills on this board, I am realistic and I take a hard-line approach to my sports fanhood. I have MULTIPLE times mentioned that I am a die-hard Jets fan (season tickets since 1988) and it is just in my blood to be a pessimistic, down in the dumps, nothing good will happen type fan.

I fully understand the Devils and Jets are two entirely different franchises with far different histories and achievements, but I just am very hard on my teams and it takes me a lot to get optimistic about something when one of my teams is involved.

Sorry.

People who call themselves "realistic fans" are the duimbasses that have an asanine sense of entitlement. If it's "in your blood" to be a, quote, "pessimistic, down in the dumps, nothing good will happen" type fan, you've got a lot bigger problems than where Parise is gonna sign.

What guilt though? I don't get this whole "guilt" thing?

"Zachy baby, we are poorrrrrrrrrrrr, please give us a discount...we are brokeeeee baby"

I am sure that's gonna work...NOT

Do you even root for this team? It's really hard to tell.

#1136357 Martin Brodeur - 2 years $9 million

Posted by Martyisth3b3st on 29 June 2012 - 10:34 AM

How hard did they really "try" last summer?!? How hard are they "trying" NOW leading up to the looming July 1 date?!?

Oh man I wish people would shut the fvck up about this. If you don't think the Devils are doing all they can to get Parise locked up while having it be financially possible, you're fvcking stupid. I'm sorry, not blaming you because this is a common theme around here, but it's so fvcking annoying that people think the devils aren't "trying hard enough".

Also, thanks for your input. Involved and well-thought-out as always, brah

Am I the only one who enjoys seeing the shootout? I love seeing our skill players be skill players. Since it doesn't make much of a difference in the end, what's so wrong with watching (and, oh by the way, dominating) the skills contest after the game? If you'd rather see the games end in a tie, turn the TV off after 5 minutes of overtime and don't watch the highlights in the morning. There's your nostalgia.

#1099087 The Devils struggle with their "brand"

Posted by Martyisth3b3st on 14 March 2012 - 06:53 AM

Dear Choke-on-a-stick17,

Your posts on the board have gone from "bad" to "hysterical". Nobody takes you seriously, nobody cares about your absurd Kovy-blind-hate ("facts" made me giggle) that would make even Manta say "whoa slow down buddy". If you can't see the skill, leadership, and hard work Kovalchuk brings to the team you're nothing short of an absolute moron. You're going on my ignore list now, but I needed to say this one last time.

You're a sad, strange little man. And you have my pity.
