#1178778 GDT: Alert: Domestic Violence Showdown Gio VS Gio (Mtl @ NJ). 3/16/13

How any of you can think this is anything more than garbage hockey is astounding. Absolutely pathetic performance by both teams. What a waste for the sellout crowd

Easily the worst hockey I've ever watched

That time of month, huh? Turn it off, nancy.

#1172554 Canadian Anthem/ Chants

Posted by Martyisth3b3st on 20 February 2013 - 10:30 PM

In 2007 against Ottawa in the playoffs, I was seated in 217 row 2. If you remember from the CAA days, corner sections were divided between the first 4 (?) rows and a bunch behind it, it was almost like a little no perks included box. When they got to "Goddddd keep our land", I yelled "you can have it!". The next line was "glorious and free.." to which the Sens fan next to me screamed "...from the Americans!". We laughed, and he and my dad clinked their beers. We talked about the game the whole time, and he shook our hands after Langs netted the double overtime goal.

If you're one of those people who takes it as me burning their flag, you need to grow the fvck up.

Oh grow some thicker skin. I went to a game in Edmonton a few years ago and was called a "fat sh!thole American" by half of the crowd. I'm 5'11 145.

The Canadians loudly mock the national anthem and their captain is from the US. It's a sporting event you ninnies.

Also, not for nothing, but if Josefson had Clarkson's luck he'd be a 40 goal scorer.

#1158812 It's Official....asked for refund

Posted by Martyisth3b3st on 13 December 2012 - 01:56 PM

I've been lurking but not posting all lockout, and I just wanted to contribute in this specific thread. My dad was a season ticket holder with me (now my brother when I'm off at school) for 15 years. He stayed on board during the last lockout, he took the added expense when we moved to Prudential, and lives and dies by the team. He called me a week ago clearly devastated and told me he had to cancel his season tickets and get his money back. We lost our living room during Sandy, a tree is now a makeshift divider in the house. Posters who I've gotten to know well know how much my family is hurting on a financial level, and the decision for my dad was "pick up a third job to fix your home" or "take money away from greedy millionaires who have lost touch with their fans". The decision was crushing, but in the end it was relatively easy.

I also wanted to come on to say that trailblazer and beetlebum and other posters like them are the reason myself and many others have avoided the forums. The only purpose they serve is to post douchebag comments and think they're hysterical. I'm relatively certain both of them have been suspended in the past, and I'm disappointed to see that their time out didn't change anything about their posting style. I hope both of you get hurt. I will laugh when you do.

Am I the only one who would like to, just for the hell of it (not coz we have to coz that'd be scary), see them call up the remaining Zajacs and form an all-Zajac line, that we could then call ZajacCity, and sing about it to the tune of Rack City by Tyga?

...I am?

Very well, carry on then.

I'm sorry but how is a perennial playoff team and the defending eastern conference champions one of the least desirable teams in the league to play for?

Fair enough - wrong place.
I was just hoping people weren't going to continue their anger-fest onto Larry.

But still, ease the hell up. Don't come into this place once a month, kick your feet up on our coffee table, and tell us that we're all bad fans because a few of our fellow members are dopes.

As a CAPTAIN of a team in the STANLEY CUP FINALS.

Good grief. This is just getting worse folks.

The guy was a fraud, let's just be honest here.

Didn't you say you were leaving a few days ago? Damn, I thought you'd be a man of your word. Git.

But unlike 90% of the rest of the shills on this board, I am realistic and I take a hard-line approach to my sports fanhood. I have MULTIPLE times mentioned that I am a die-hard Jets fan (season tickets since 1988) and it is just in my blood to be a pessimistic, down in the dumps, nothing good will happen type fan.

I fully understand the Devils and Jets are two entirely different franchises with far different histories and achievements, but I just am very hard on my teams and it takes me a lot to get optimistic about something when one of my teams is involved.

People who call themselves "realistic fans" are the duimbasses that have an asanine sense of entitlement. If it's "in your blood" to be a, quote, "pessimistic, down in the dumps, nothing good will happen" type fan, you've got a lot bigger problems than where Parise is gonna sign.

What guilt though? I don't get this whole "guilt" thing?

"Zachy baby, we are poorrrrrrrrrrrr, please give us a discount...we are brokeeeee baby"

I am sure that's gonna work...NOT

Do you even root for this team? It's really hard to tell.
