It's really hard to tell at this point, in years past the guys that we're contracted guys where generally more talented than the bottom third of this years roster. meaning more quality guys were up for grabs for AHL teams.

I just don't think it has worked out.  The reason that "bottom third" is there now is guys like Riddle, Manley, Haggett, Ortmeyer, Cava when he was there (older ECHL contracted guys) don't want to deal with that restriction and instead play elsewhere.  Even just two of those guys on this team would probably be a big help.

I would say so.  People that have only ECHL contracts can be called up by any AHL team (as many former Titans have in the past).  This new philosophy is not something I have ever heard of before.

Well, if this is the case then either Trenton:

1. Should've been informed of this policy so as not to wait for bodies that were never coming

Or

2. Trenton, being informed of #1 already, should've made more of an effort to fill out the roster. When training camp was announced, many of us felt that many of the non-Devils signings were meant just to fill space.

28 goals in 13 games = 2.1538 = Not Competitive.

The reason they have no vets is because the Devils organization made it a condition of anybody on an ECHL contract that if they agreed to sign with Trenton, they would agree to only be eligible to be called up by Lowell and no one else (meaning Trenton/Devils would not loan them to anyone else, which they have the power to do).  That said, a lot of older guys said no thanks and went elsewhere.  I can see they are trying to build an organization with loyalty, etc. but I think it has backfired (at least so far).

It really is frustrating, 2 of the best forwards are out with injuries, Castonguay and Mills and they don't even have any extra forwards on the roster, they been going with 7 defensemen since opening weekend. With Caruso up in Lowell Smith is getting every start. If he doesn't stand on his head everynight we're done. There's just too many marginal players on the current roster to be happy with the way things are going. Thankfully guys like LeBlond have had the golden opportunity to sit in Lowell and not dress for a single game.

It seems like they are lacking scroing more than Leblond. He is certainly a great team guy - but he had 4 goals last year. WOuld be better to see Mark Pandolfo in T-Town

We. Can't. Score. Allowing only 21 shots was impressive, but to this point 3 goals against is a death sentence.

Is this the most active T-Devils board? I remember there used to be one on the Titans website, but it is not there anymore.
