#1069258 GDT: Devils @ Wild. 8:00 pm EST

Posted by Chorske17 on 02 December 2011 - 10:37 PM

I honestly had no idea before the game that the Devils traded Kovalchuk to the Wild. He was like MAGIC tonight against the Devils.

Kyle Brodziak you were are worth every penny you are paid! This guy is the "John Madden" of Minnesota and I'd love to see him in a Devils uniform.

I really cannot blame every goal on Kovalchuk. He didn't actually shoot them, but the turnovers that he made when he was the last one back are his fault. Turnovers trying to stick-handle, deke, and skate with the puck when the pass was clearly the RIGHT answer. You cannot unteach this guy.

Kovalchuk, I will never be as good of a player as you, but please stop looking skyward after you screw-up; the answers are clearly not up there.

I think Parise has made up his mind on what to do next season after this cluster.

I switched channels and am watching an Islanders team compete with Chicago and the end of BU destroying BC in NCAA hockey.

#1062363 KR-AV Jersey Auction anyone get one?

Posted by Chorske17 on 07 November 2011 - 10:13 AM

Poor taste of a post. You had money to blow? Good do it on charity not yourself. I didn't have money to blow and I did donate...

Oh I donated, but to another cause (Cancer) that I felt I got a lot back for since members of my immediate family have or had it. Like I said, in these tough economic times you have to pick and choose so I did, I encourage you do the same.

I still stand by what I said. Why not honor these players longer (same for Pat Burns). Really two games? I see other clubs still sporting a patch and yet here are the Devils.

The autographs are silly. Like Ken said, one is tolerable, but why not give fans/collectors what they want if the money is going to charity so they can raise more? Investigate, research, look-into it. It isn't like MeiGray doesn't do business with them; ask them.

Say poor taste all you want, but it is the truth and sometimes the truth hurts.

Oh and as for the starting bid, I HATE auctions. If you ever go to move 95% of what you won in auction it's typically a huge loss. I don't know if people get caught up in the moment or what, but I've seen some where I scratch my head.

I replied to all of the emails. Thanks for the interest and know that i work weekends and live outside of New Jersey so local pick-up probably won't happen. If you are still interested please email as I have gotten some "tire kickers" who just like to get photos sent and then come back with:

"how about a trade, I have a pair of Gomez gloves!" :whistling:

"oooh.. I don't have the money right now, but SOON!" :blahblah:

"I know your price is very low, but what is your ABSOLUTE LOWEST PRICE?" :argh:

"Can you do $25.00 shipped to Bordentown?"

You just never know so the first one to say, "I'll take them!" ask for my paypal, mail me a cheque or call me gets them. Let's make this quick and painless! My great gloves for a price that you see beat by any collector OR dealer.

Added a pair of Zajac gloves. My prices beat a lot of others who ask for far more than they paid at the Draft Day party. Do not delay because they will sell.

#1058374 Brylin Game Worn Helmet

Posted by Chorske17 on 22 October 2011 - 11:41 AM

I am selling my Sergei Brylin game worn hockey helmet.

It is a white CCM with the visor from the 2002-04 season. MeiGray authenticated it and the paperwork will come with the helmet. I'm happy to send pictures to those interested. Please PM me and provide a working email address and telephone number. I'll email you, but I'd like an alternate form of communication should you or I have any issues.

I'm asking $225.00 plus shipping to your location (you choose the level of safety you want in speed of service, insurance, and tracking) for it which is less than I paid for it. Please don't contact me with items you want to trade for it. My price is quite fair considering the following:

-Brylin has won 3 cups with the team.
-Brylin helmets don't show up every day since he has left the team.
-My price is far superior to others offering game worn helmets of players that there will surely be more of surfacing thru MeiGray and other collectors(SEE LINK below for comparison).

I also have for sale a Ken Daneyko helmet worn during the 1999-00 SCF season. It is photomatched and comes with a COA from MeiGray. I am happy to share the photos to those interested. I'm asking for $350.00 shipped to your door on this one of a kind helmet! This is the only one I know of in the hobby!

#1054503 Numbers on the helmets?

Posted by Chorske17 on 06 October 2011 - 11:07 PM

Anybody else think this is the worst idea since Cooper Pants?

Please throw in there ahead of this in random order.

1. The Reebok Edge jersey
2. The heated skate
3. Home jerseys NOT being White
4. Sean Avery being allowed to wave his stick in Brodeur face without a call.
5. Some guy named Gary Bettman
6. The random amount of days a player is suspended for headshots.
7. NO more Old Time Hockey
8. Fox Trax puck
9. The EXCESSIVE price one has to pay for ANY food or beverage at any arena.
10. Those damn people who try to sell me cigars and chances to win a free Mutha facking cruise who are right beside the Devils Fan club area.

#1054044 Parise named captain!

Posted by Chorske17 on 05 October 2011 - 02:05 PM

Nashville's jerseys are pressed or just the name plates?

I'm not sure what "pressed" means. But the nameplate is sublimated (dyed) there is no stitching what-so-ever to create the letters and look. I believe the nameplate is sewn onto the jersey then, but I have not seen this year's or last year's in hand yet.

#1053911 Parise named captain!

Posted by Chorske17 on 05 October 2011 - 11:54 AM

You don't need the "C" on your jersey to LEAD.

For many years Brendan Shanahan was the real leader of the Red Wings in locker room with all due respect to Steve Yzerman. Yzerman was just a quiet leader. Shanahan was the talker.

I think Kovalchuk was a mistake, but hey I thought he was a mistake since day 1. I thought there were a number of better candidates for the "A" than him. Clarkson would've been the best decision they could've made.

I don't think the "C" lends itself to Parise staying put. Money talks and BS walks (just ask Kovalchuk).
