This is a steal compared to those prices. A better Devil IMO for far less. If I had the $$ right now I would snatch it up, if you are looking at it and contemplating buying do it! You won't see another that is for sure.....

I've mellowed about it as the years have passed, but I was angry when a Devil didn't win the award (Brodeur or Niedermayer). I wanted the victor getting all the spoils. I booed the announcement, I admit it.

Nieds was awesome, again, but not a retiree. He willingly departed the Devils who were ready to make him the highest paid player on the roster. Thanks for the rings, Nieds, and I love you, but when you went to Anaheim, you should have sacrificed any chance at getting your jersey in the rafters. Are we going to retire the jersey of every great player that spends substantial time in NJ? That, to me, is something the Rangers do. Not us.
You are nuts. Just because he was not a "lifer" he shoudn't have his jersey retired?!?!? Talk about SOUR GRAPES. To compare this to what the Rags do is laughable. Nieds is a FIRST BALLOT HALL OF FAMER, 3 TIME CUP CHAMPION WITH THIS FRANCHISE and was a huge part of our defensive corps the entire time he was here. How many jerseys did the Rags retire of sure fire HOF'ers and 3x Cup Champs? (3 Cups with the Rags that is) I'll wait.... The only jerseys as of right now that should/will be retired by the Devils is Marty, Elias, and Nieds. All 3 of these guys will have their numbers besides the #3 and #4 that are already up.
my turn again.. ..you still think the Giants are the best team in the NFC?
Good one! The HUGE, MONUMENTAL difference is that at one point this season a lot of analysts/writers etc. thought the Giants were one of the/the best team in the NFC. NOBODY except for you (and maybe a handful of the Jets most extreme homers; possibly Fireman Ed?) ever thought that Sanchez is better than Rodgers.....
"unbiased eye".. you're too funny. Meanwhile your posting Steelers towels to ruffle feathers.
You're so pathetic it it's beyond comical. You got 19 UFA's on your team, and you come in here dancing about the Jets. Get a life. For someone that roots for a team with 3 Championships, it's puzzling why you have this inferiority complex.
..what's the matter? It's no fun talking to yourself in the Giants thread?
I can be unbiased. Once you start crying an ocean of tears I decided to suggest some items that may absorb that moisture for you. Again, WHERE WAS THE DANCING ABOUT THE JETS?!? This is what I was talking about how you are completely delusional- a mere post stating that "The Jets may lose some players" or something along those lines is interpreted by you as people running around with "agendas" and celebrating. I have said multiple times and it does not seem to register in your brain- They may be better or worse next year. It all depends on what they do. They will likely upgrade some positions and possibly downgrade others.
EDIT: Once again like clockwork, when you have nothing of value to say you just start talking about topics that are irrelevant. You brought the Giants into the conversation, I did not.....
You are NO football fan when it comes to the Jets. You are a TROLL!
..and NO to answer your question, you shouldn't post here! How many fvcking people have told you to take a hike?! Who the fvck takes you seriously in this thread, when your bias is so blindingly obvious?!? No one agrees with you.. No one responds to a word you say.. and 50 people have labeled you a troll. So why the fvck come in here and talk?
You do it to get a rise out of people, and guess what.. you have succeeded.
Again,, the record is on skip... either way, FVCK OFF clown!
Oh no! Jets fans who didn't agree with criticism of the Jets (justly so criticism at that) told me to leave! I better run. Please. I do not like the Jets, but I can assess sports/teams through an unbiased eye. People got upset when I pointed out that they squeaked out miracle wins vs bad teams. Tough luck, it is what it is. You clearly are extremely biased for the Jets when just the mention of players leaving causes you to go into a complete lunatic rage. Don't worry, the Jets may make it to the AFC Championship game again next year.....
Cry into 2 years of missing the playoffs.. while watching the Jets give New York 6 postseason games.
6 postseason games that resulted in 0 Championships....
Ahh 3cups... so much for you to learn. Maybe you won't grasp the "no facial hair rule," as silly and trivial as it is -- but you will one day understand how much weight the seemingly trivial often has.
So you are going to honestly come on this board and tell me that the no facial hair rule means something?!!? It certainly hasn't equated to any postseason success in the past 7 years.... Please inform me oh wise one....What good does this ridiculous rule do?
I think it has more to do with unity than anything else. Everyone wears a helmet during warmups, everyone -- whether you're NHL, AHL or ECHL -- plays for a team called the Devils, everyone wears a suit and tie on the road, everyone is clean shaven.
It's all that "no individual is bigger than the team" thing. Lou's big into that kind of stuff.
If "everyone wearing a helmet" and everyone shaving is some important resemblance of team unity than that is absurd. That doesn't make or break team unity. It is way beyond that. The rule is stupid, and if it is still in place I expect it to die like many other ridiculous things/rules in this organization once LL is finally gone....
It is a charity event, so I can not say I was disappointed. Everyone had fun so it was good, and best part is they earned some money for the charity. Jim Dowd and Bruce Driver were rather nice at the dinner also. Did not speak to anyone else however.
I am still shocked at winning a kovy and madden signed puck and elias signed stick as the "opening" bid price.
EDIT: Dano was suppose to be there also, wonder what happened to him? Getting ready for the Devils @ Isles I guess?
Most of the people there did not seem like hardcore fans. Instead of buying their kids autographs from legit NHL players in the raffle, they would rather let them get autographs of Rob Skrlac and goaltending sensation Anthony Felice! I actually cringed when I saw kids getting Felice to sign their jerseys...he must have had the time of his life signing too
