I understand that these guys had good careers in the 50's and 60's but I'm confused about something. If these 2 guys were so important to the Rangers organization why does it take them 40 years to finally retire their jersey? Could you imagine if the Devils retired Daneyko's number in the year 2040?
I couldn't make it through that ceremony tonight. The Garden was dead and the stories were boring. Then you had Sam Rosen screaming, "this is the moment you've been waiting for" when the banners went up. Really Sam? These guys haven't played a game in the NHL since the 70's, what a long wait. Also why was the 94 Cup team at a ceremony for guys that played in the 50's, 60's, and early 70's?
Everything the Rangers do bothers me mainly because they act like they have this amazing history when in reality they don't. All they have is 1994.
I have so many questions about this awful organization and the way they handle everything.
