I want to believe in the kid especially after his injury last year.

If only he would of finished on that breakaway during the opener maybe things would of been different.

One way contract though? Why?

Why take him at pick 160 if there are other players that you think are better than him or if you can sign him as an undrafted free agent.

 

This isn't baseball where you can make sentimental picks in the 25th round of the draft or however long the MLB draft goes.

The Arizona Diamondbacks used their 34th round pick two weeks ago to draft a player out of Arizona State University who was paralyzed.

He wore #34 as a player.

How cool would it have been to announce him as the winner at the draft?

I actually think Parise wanted to stay with the Devils but the Wild just gave him an offer he couldn't refuse. I don't remember where I read this but I remember reading that the Devils offered Parise 7 years 50mill during his RFA summer but he turned it down since his agents felt like he could get more on the open market.

I miss the guy just as much as any other Devils fan but to think we are still talking about him one year later amazes me.
