#1206909 Young QMJHL prospect died during practice today

Posted by SterioDesign on 13 August 2013 - 06:57 AM

That's crazy. I really hope this guy gets a decent prison sentence. People need to realize some animals are not meant to be confined as pets. Between the harm to the animal, the consequences of irresponsible pet owners releasing them into the wild and in this particular case, the death of two kids, it's awful all around.

its obviously aweful but i dont agree. Those 2 boys we're having a sleepover with the dude's son, they went to his farm and had a great day and he really loved those kids. In the morning he found them dead, it was obviously the worst day of his life and a real life nightmare. I get what you're saying but what this guy will have to live with for the rest of his life is worst than jail. It was a freak accident, a kid can drown in a pool or get his face ripped off by a dog out of the blues. sh!t happen.

i know it might just be some "cultural difference of opinion" i dont know if us canadians are more forgiven but nature of what lol but its pretty well known and supported that americans are a lot more trigger happy on suing and punishing offenders. Not too sure which one is best but i still think that guy shouldnt go in jail, his life will be a nightmare until the day he die already

#1205885 NHL expansion: Bettman reportedly pushing to put team in Seattle

Posted by SterioDesign on 31 July 2013 - 02:46 PM

i dont feel like starting a debate about this, but they have to put a fvcking team in Quebec, it would balance the conference a little and theres people CRAVING hockey there and who's been craving for YEARS. I understand the business support side of it but i strongly believe that the "plug and play" fan established fan base from Canada can infuse enough revenue + pierre karl peladeau's plan.

Ridiculous to keep on putting teams where they have to create a fan base and where hockey is like the 5th sport. If you want to sell lots of bananas, make a stand where rich monkeys are.

#1204554 RUMOR Jagr interested in Devils

Posted by SterioDesign on 21 July 2013 - 06:34 PM

Jesus the frustration of the offseason is really getting to people this year

I'll bet Jagr is signed by Wednesday, whether here or somewhere else.

to me its the past 3 offseasons, its been hell literally, never has a fan i remember been able to just relax and wait for hockey to start.

2010:

1- Zach's contract talks part 1 / arbitration

2- the NEVERENDING Kovy saga

3- The contract penalty

4- have to start a season and play a man short cause Lou handled the cap terribly and players had to play with that black cloud on top of their head knowing someone had to go.

5- Bankruptcy rumours looming

6- terrible (if not worst ever) start of the season + Zach's injury

7-missing the playoffs

The draft expectations and drafting Larsson we're good points i guess.

2011:

1- Bankruptcy rumours looming again

3- Zach's contract talks part 2 / him leaving

Cup run was of course fun, thank god.

2012:

1- Missing the playoffs again

2- Clarkson walking

3- Eternal financial trouble talks

4- Kovy fvcking retiring

of course im not saying everything of the past 3 years we're bad, but as fans we had to go through a fvcking crazy amount of sh!t compared to other teams. Seems like we're ALWAYS waiting for a situation to get resolve and until it's done we're just waiting and waiting and waiting all nervous hoping for the best, very annoying after awhile.

I'd just like to have all our team signed not having to worry about losing our top players, confident in the team for the upcoming season, confident about the team structure and financial stability. Its not that much to ask to me? lol

#1203696 Kovalchuk Retired Effective Immediately?

Posted by SterioDesign on 16 July 2013 - 09:25 AM

the best fvcking thing now would be one of those "Hitler's reaction" video and freaking out... starting like...

Hitler: with the new signings we did we're in good position and our improve offence led by Kovy will bring us back to the playoffs!

*everyone looking at each other *

other guy: My Furhe.... Kovalchuk just announced that he's retiring from the NHL, leave the Devils and will likely sign in the KHL.

etc etc....

lol done right this could be fvcking perfect and epic... the freaking out, the rage... then the part at the end where he's just discouraged and saddened.

here's an example

his last line is hilarious

#1203647 New Playoff Format/Divisions

Posted by SterioDesign on 15 July 2013 - 08:40 PM

to make it clear.

• 2 divisions in each conference

• 2 divisions of 7 teams in the West and 2 divisions of 8 teams in the East

• Top 3 teams in each division will make the playoffs so thats 12 teams

• The last 4 teams getting in will be the "wild-card teams". The 2 next teams with the most points in the conference will get in too.

• Matchups will be the winner of the division with the most points will play the wild-card team with the less points... etc etc.

• The teams finishing 2nd and 3rd in each division will play in the first round then the winners of each series will play for berths in the conference championship series

•  so within your divison youre playing 5 games against 2 teams and 4 games against 5 teams.

so basically our division is Devils, Rangers, Islanders, Flyers, Washington, Columbus, Carolina and Pittsburgh. So we'll have to be in the top 3 on that conference or be the best wild-cards... Not gonna be easy but lets hope some teams sh!t the bed it could help.

edit: oh and yeah with the new schedule we're playing every teams in the league twice i believe. A home and home against all teams.

#1203230 [Official] Damien Brunner signed to multi-year deal

Posted by SterioDesign on 14 July 2013 - 09:39 AM

dude sounds legit, i'm sure details of devils negotiations leak out all the time

do you think we believe this 100% when we post those? who cares ? its just rumoured numbers that we can discuss about, if those discussions are not high enough on your superior standard, well stay out of it thats all. Lot of us here just like to talk and discuss about those rumours. Not harming anyone and its entertaining.

You're like that guy that you're watching action movies with and all movie long going "oh yeah, as if thats possible!"

We're here for entertainment dude.

Posted by SterioDesign on 11 July 2013 - 05:06 PM

Watch as Lou pulls a rabbit out of our ass and trades Tedenby for Malkin straight up.

(Yes I know this would never happen)

and then Malkin retire too and sign in the KHL... some of you guys never learn !

#1200824 Ryane Clowe signs with the Devils. 5 years. 4.85 per.

Posted by SterioDesign on 06 July 2013 - 04:45 PM

I see how a lot of these UFA's want to go play for their "home team" when they get the chance, I personally would probably do the same thing. If I were playing for the Canucks or Ducks and I became a free agent, I would love to come back east and play for the Devils.

I think Lou should take this into consideration before that player leaves, and work out a trade to that team. Clarky is a perfect example, we were having a bad season last year and could have shipped him to the Leafs for their playoff run. We all seemed to know that he wanted to play for Toronto, I'm sure Lou knew too, and they couldve sat down and had a man to man talk about it.

We draft/sign these young players and build them up....only to see them bolt for nothing, and then we have to over pay for "replacements".

i'm 100% with you on this. Most will disagree though.

Just take the Sharks last season, very very similar situation than us and perfect example (we we're actually having a worst season than them). They were in the race for the playoffs and still traded Clowe cause they knew he wouldn't re-sign there. They still made the playoffs and wouldnt have done much better with Clowe either. They got 2 second round picks and a 3rd. I'm sure we could have got even more for Clarky.

And well that some admit it or not... turns out it would have been the best move to do for the franchise. We recovered pretty well with Clowe and Ryder and all i think we have a good team for the next few seasons but again... a few extra picks in that draft or prospects would have been pretty sweet.

#1198986 CLARKSON SIGNS w/TORONTO $36.75M / 7yrs

Posted by SterioDesign on 02 July 2013 - 08:44 AM

Would anyone be happy if the Devils signed another team's free agent that's hard stretched to reach 50 points in a season (really hard stretched), isn't particularly good on the power play, isn't used to kill penalties, is a terrible passer, and has a habit of taking bad penalties...all for top 6 type dollars?  Because that describes David Clarkson.

Let someone else overpay and be saddled with the low returns on a bad contract.

he was so bad that he was our top goal scorer and 5 of his goals were GWG. That tells a lot about our depth and why we should just be happy to see him walk.

i get that he was not the best player in the world but some fans here REALLY sound like they want to convince themselves that he was sh!t. Just like that butthurt girl who just got dump saying "pfff i never really liked him anyway" eventhough they've been together for 5 years.
