I'm actually pretty excited to see what Mamashev can bring. Although his last season wasn't very impressive as far as points go, he was the highest scoring (points and assists) defenseman in the KHL during the 2012-2013 season with 42 points in 52 games. He could be a useful player for us. Does anybody know more about him?

Comparing stats with some other KHL defensemen that have crossed over recently, he's kind of like Anton Belov who played for Edmonton last season (and was also somehow on Russia's National team in Sochi), so he's most likely just another candidate for that #7 spot with Harrold and Kaberle.

Severson got number 28? Interesting. Gelinas might be a goner if they feel highly on Severson.

Found that interesting as well, kind of a gauge how high they are on him considering that's a starter number. Anyone curious on other camp numbers as well, these are according to Cordell:

Merrill - 7

Havlat - 9

Cammalleri - 23

Severson - 28

Clemmensen - 40

Mamashev - 46

Fedotenko is a pretty interesting invite, he's a really good penalty killer so he could make a decent 4th liner, don't want any part of Tootoo though
