Our fanbase hasn't been getting better lately...I dont even want to sit in my season ticket holder seats anymore. I try to sell them for every game and go to a new section. Every fanbase is like that.
EDIT: Little random to talk about Mike Rupp since he is in Minnesota now. He only tried to stir up some emotion when they were getting blown out. Ryan Carter plowed over Quick in the Cup Finals when we were getting blown out, I guess we can call him childish names now.
There are a lot of issues with our fanbase but they often pale in comparison to the obnoxious trash that calls themselves Ranger fans. While Philly fans might be more prone to violence, the Rags fans tend to run their mouth more with their dumb comments.

Check Parkwhiz.com. I park at a lot at 299 Mulberry, about 3 blocks from the arena. It's $11.99 if you prepay online and print your pass. $15 if you pay onsite. I like this lot -- it's close, and far enough away from the arena to be a little easier getting out. Plus, it's easy to head south on 21 en route to 78, if you're heading that way. It's about 8 minutes from starting the car to merging onto 78 West on most nights.
That's the one on Kinney and I park there all the time. Didn't know you could pre-pay so I might do that from now on. Thanks!

Im saying that JJ is on the same level as teddy if not lower offensively. I didnt say teddy should take JJs spot, in fact what you just quoted says i think they both need to develop what arent you getting about that? my god nothing but sour grapes. no one can just say boy you really hit that one on the head haha its like having a debate with a bunch of mike francesas
and im not gunna go back and edit something wtf? lol i know i hit this topic right on the head i have nothing to change. Btw id like rangerssuck23 to put his input in here, i guess i still shouldnt be allowed to make topics since i was way off here.
Like I said you never outright said it but you were the one making comparisons to tendenby. You made every possible pondering question as to why JJ was still up instead of teddy the connection was definitely there.
And sour grapes? I have never seen anyone so happy to see a player on their supposed favorite team struggling just so they can be "proven right" to a bunch of strangers on a message board on the Internet.
Would everyone here take off their "I'm up the Devils butt and am a hard-up fan" hat for a second please...I don't disagree with this guy at all. The way I look at it is like this - that "no refund policy" should be excerciseable ONLY if the full season were to take place. As far as I am, and many other fans, are concerned, the league and its teams "broke" their contract with season ticket holders by giving them a partial season.
You have heard MANY, MANY, MANY team executives and players say - "This is the business"..."This is entertainment"...yada yada yada...so, if they feel that the business of entertainment can be run that way, well, the "buyer" has every right to complain that his entertainment was NOT respected in good faith...
Bottom line - I'm not impressed by Lou's phone call. Maybe you guys are "woooooooo'ed" by the GM of a team calling you, but as far as I'm concerned I didn't get what I paid for, and so, out of good faith and good will, the Devils should have respected this guy's request and HOPED he would come back next year...
That's my two cents...
You answered your own question. Hockey is ENTERTAINMENT as well as all professional sports. While the season has been cut almost in half this year, I didn't lose a single cent because of it. While the season ticket holders had their money tied up with the team, the team did indeed offer refunds or credit for every month that wasn't played. Not only that but the STH got interest as well as other perks previously not provided, so honestly they came out ahead in the long run.
To view season tickets as a contract is pure garbage IMO. They are just access to the arena to see your favorite team for the season at a discounted price and with some perks. Nothing more and nothing less. Until the team starts instituting PSL's (Highly unlikely for hockey and the Devils) or if they have something like cell phone plans where you must enter into a 2-year agreement where you have to have ST for a period of time, then season tickets ARE NOT a contract.
The guy in the article was just an entitled weiner who was just pissed off about the lockout, but decided to take it out on the Devils publicly in the paper.
I get the frustration on the part of the fan, but he was just grasping at straws with his reasons for trying to back out of this season. Good on the Devils for the way they handled this. I mean, imagine getting a call from Lou and being told that he'll announce a long-term signing for a major player later that day? That's insane! From the man with the tightest lips on the planet, he personally calls you and gives you the scoop? That's fvcking awesome! Then you get to hang in the owner's box and bend VBK's ear? This guy pretty much bitched his way into every fan's dream scenarios.
Honestly if it wasn't for bamboozled he wouldn't have gotten close to Lou at all.
Hell when I asked about what happened to the Equipment sale last year at Friday's game, I was told to STFU and GTFO but not before being slapped across the face with a magnetic schedule for asking such a dumb question.
Picked up a red Zajac t-shirt at Dicks in Freehold for $17 yesterday. Normally I've seen them run around $25. Only thing about it is it has a Stanley Cup Finals patch on the right shoulder which I didn't think was a big deal.
At least two whole racks of traitor Parise shirts. I saw a couple XL Zubrus's and Brodeur's. Was hoping they would have a couple miscellaneous players to add to the family.
They had those for $17 with the patch? Every Dick's I have been to have any player shirt with the patch on it for either $5 or $10 tops.
