Svechnikov from Cap Breton is really good.

Have you seen him play? He seems like one of the better Russian players coming through in the past few years. He's put up impressive numbers. I would like to see the Devils take a chance on him if the top few guys are off the table.

Some recent rankings ahead of the WJC:

Hockey Prospect's Top 30 (December)
Future Consideration's Top 30 (December)
Corey Pronman's Top 30 (November)* ESPN Insider
ISS Top 30 (December)
Craig's List Top 100 (December)

McKeen's Hockey Top 30 (November)

For sortable stats, the Elite Prospects 2015 Draft Center.

Thanks for this, fiesty. Looks like we could get a pretty good player if the Devils end up finishing in the bottom 10.

Marner, Zacha, Rantanen, and Svechnikov (among some others) all seem have the talent that we've been looking for lately, and there's a good chance one of them falls to us, if rankings stay relatively consistent. Of course 3 of those guys happen to be European, so who knows whether any of them will be on Conte's radar.

Remember... In 2011 we had kovalchuk and parise, everybody thought we need defense at that time. Now with all the sh!t that happens over the last couple of year, we dont have any offense. At that time Larsson was our bestfit.

But today i would yakupov him in a heartbeat.

what do you mean by "yakupov him"?

I know he's at 1 point/game now, but I really hope Quenneville picks it up soon. I really don't want to have a reason to be disappointed that we skipped over Barbashev at 30, who was often ranked much higher. I'm intrigued by this defenseman on Quenneville's team named Ivan Provorov. 3rd on the team in points at 1 point/game, and he's a rookie (2015 draft prospect).

Hawryluk seems to be having a good season, though. I wonder if he's playing on the same line as John.
