In Topic: Which Player are you Most Curious to Watch Next Season?

Larsson, Josefson: young players who still need to prove themselves, but may become a big part of the Devils' future.

Brunner, Havlat: definitely among the more skilled players on the team, we'll have to see if they can produce and excel in the Devils system.

Also interested in Cammalleri and Schneider, but I'm confident that both of those guys will be very good this year.

But I think of all players, I'm most curious about Gelinas. He won't be spending time in Albany this year, so it will be very interesting to see if he continues to develop into a dangerous defenseman. This could be a breakout year for him.

I watched the related video of Parise's goals from the 2013-2014 season. The Koivu/Parise chemistry is unreal. Also lots of garbage goals that Parise was always so great with.

What is the argument for Lemieux over Quenneville, anyway? Qunneville is a bigger point producer, and seems like a strong all around player. There isn't anything about Lemieux that suggests to me that he is more likely to turn out to be the better player. Honestly I agree with DD56, the last name is the only reason this is being discussed. If anything, we should be wondering why Barbashev was passed over. Regardless, I'm happy with the pick.

Do you think Lou is going to try to extend Greene before the start of the season? Greene is a UFA after this year.

You missed my next sentence:

At this point, it's hard to argue he still needs experience or an opportunity to succeed (DeBoer has rotated him on the 1st/2nd lines and was atrocious).

except that isn't true. he played half of two games on Jagr's line last year, and that was it. far from atrocious, too.
