#1187254 2013 NHL Draft

Can someone explain to me the logic behind "a pick today is better than a pick tomorrow"? I simply don't understand.

On paper, he hasn't done much, but I've been impressed with his game. He's been involved in a lot of chances during this terrible streak. I hope he gets re-signed for a while. I'd like to see him as the #2 center on the Devils for years to come. The lack of chemistry with linemates is a big problem, though.

I'm gonna have to go with Andy Greene.  I mean, have you SEEN the man's playoff beard?  I didn't think he was capable!

(In all seriousness - Kovalchuk/Parise/Zajac - take your pick)

Jokes aside, Greene has been a bit of an unsung hero. Not a lot of points production, but he's been making good decisions and joins the rush when he needs to. He's looked better in these playoffs than he has all season.

It's hard for me to decide who has been best though. It's good to know that nobody is carrying the team on their back. Maybe for that reason, you choose the coaching staff.

"We're up 5-1 going into the third? Ahhh, we got this!"

"Oh well, we lost. Can't win them all. No big deal, onto the next game..."

Kovalchuk's passing skills? How about the entire team tonight, passing behind each other or to the skates. Thought Kovy had a good game besides that turn over, which was also a nice play by Grabner. Sick of our fans using him as the scapegoat for every game.  And that was a real crap pass to Larsson on our first goal, right?

Yeah, he set up both goals, I thought he played an otherwise impressive game on the RW, aside from that turnover.

Quite an unfortunate turnout, but I guess the score could have easily been 4 or 5-2 if it wasn't for Marty. He had a save tonight that looked like the best of the year so far.
