Can you imagine what habs fans think of this guy? Devils fan rooting for the rags against a team the devils have no rivalry or animosity towards?

#1265103 Confronting the Nightmare - UPDATE: NIGHTMARE OVER, KINGS WIN!

Posted by '7' on 21 May 2014 - 11:18 AM

During the Devils Stanley Cup runs, I always noticed the occasional Rangers fan or two walking around town wearing their NYR hats or T-shirts, and in a way, I secretly admired  their tenacity.

So lately my boy (he's 5) and I have been wearing our Devils gear -- mostly T's, sometimes a hat -- a little bit more often than usual. It's sort of a subtle message to all the Rags fans in the area, letting them know: Hey, remember, we are here. Sure, you (Rags fans) are showing your numbers now, all proud because your team is doing well, but don't get any false allusions. We (Devils fans) are still here, we are always going to be here, and you are always going to be reminded that you don't own these (N.J.) towns anymore. Enjoy your little run now, but keep in mind that it isn't 1981. It is 2014, and this is Devils country, and it always will be Devils country.

Great post

Though I HATE when out of touch Rag fans still allude to the Jersey burbs being 50/50 in terms of fans. It hasn't been like that in literally 20 years.

It probably sounds pathetic but whenever this "too close for comfort" cup run of 2014 ends I will probably feel like celebrating in some way, because the crises was averted. And some relief of course knowing they won't come this close again for a long long time

You see this is why the Rags are cooked regardless of if they win game 7 tomorrow. Once again an unnecessarily long first round grind against an inferior team, just like Ottawa, Wash in 2012, Wash in 2013. They were steamrolled today...no killer instinct. SOFT

I'd rather see Philly win the cup 400 years in a row then the rangers win one.

ha, I'm with you. My rationale is even though we hate 'em too, if they win it at least they can go celebrate over there in Philadelphia and south Jersey. We won't see it and hear it for the most part. It won't be rubbed in our faces as there aren't that many Flyers fans here. Maybe folks who spend a lot of time at the shore will see some of it but that's all

If the Rags win it. Good lord we will never hear the end of it. I mean you've seen how they've milked 1994.

This was a tough one for them, up 2-0 they really could've had a stranglehold on the series heading to Philly. Once again got every chance on the powerplay

I like how with 1:20 to go the Rangers just took a too many men penalty, and with the faceoff in the Rangers zone all you saw were fans filing out of the lower deck. I know it was bleak at that point, but it's a one goal PLAYOFF game and there is more than a minute to go. True blue Rangers fans. diehards

Brodeur anywhere in a management role is a catastrophe.

#1258108 This has to be the most frustrating season I've seen as a fan

Posted by '7' on 01 April 2014 - 11:48 PM

I need to find a girlfriend because I shouldn't be this distraught over this team.

then you'd be pulling your hair out over two things instead of 1

#1256185 Brodeur Article, name dropping where he might want to play, reveals wh

Posted by '7' on 27 March 2014 - 12:03 PM

I'll give Zach Parise some credit here. When bigmouth JP said that Zach would love to play for Tortorella during the 2012 ECF, Zach flipped a sh!t and immediately went to his dad to make sure that stuff was retracted.

Could you imagine, game 6 of the ECF and Parise is like "yea I could see myself playing for the Rags...and my wife really wants me in Minnesota. Pittsburgh? Maybe?

Devils are scratching and clawing for a playoff spot. They actually put the POS in goal tonight...Brodeur is thinking about playing in Montreal

TASK AT HAND MARTY!

#1244841 GDT- Devils vs CAPITALS

Posted by '7' on 08 February 2014 - 10:30 PM

It's a disgrace these diving ++++s were able to win this game (they're Carolina level bad. 2 Devils penalties should've been Caps dives earlier)

the first goal was a bad one. But they just couldn't do anything offensively all night. Sick of this garbage.

#1243349 Fire DeBoer Thread

Posted by '7' on 01 February 2014 - 02:32 PM

All I'll say is this

Plenty of Devils coaches have done better and still gotten canned. It is odd how Lou has stuck with Deboer when Robinson and Julien got fired for reasons most of us still don't understand.

He did have the Cup run...but he's also likely going to miss the playoff consecutive years
