I seriously hope you only act like this to people who are a$$holes and I not to people who are just minding their business. I go to many road games and I show respect and I get respect back.

 

Obviously I don't pick out people who are just sitting there quietly enjoying the game and kids are off limits. But if they're high-fiving or if they start celebrating or yell anything anti-Devils, they're gonna hear it. Basically, if you stay low-key and just watch, I'm not gonna give you any sh!t. But don't expect me to sit on my hands if you come into The Rock and start jumping up and down in glee when your team is beating mine.

Well, I guess we won't be going 48-0 this year. I'm fine with 47-0-1 though.

This is a lot of discussion and gloom and doom for a guy who hasn't missed any time at all yet. If he misses any games, I'll be mad, but until that time who cares what he decides to do. He's staying in game shape and not abandoning the fans when he doesn't need to instead of coming home and twiddling his thumbs waiting for the CBA to get ratified and for camp to start. He's not on the Devils' time right now, he has no reason to leave yet.

Monmouth County Devils fan checking in. There's definitely a pretty healthy mix of Rangers and Devils fans here because of how many transplanted New Yorkers there are, but the Devils fan population continues to grow, especially as the 80's and 90's kids get older, because they seem to be picking the Devils, which in turn is converting parents as well. Also, I've met a bunch of transplants from NYC who took to the Devils once moving here. I think the biggest reason you have so many young Devils fans here though is that hockey continues to grow in the county and it pretty much started when the Devils came to be and really boomed with the Cup wins. For a lot of young people, myself included, that was our first big exposure to hockey in the 90's (I was 7 in '95). It created a lot of first generation Devils fans, who are now growing up and starting to start families of their own and you're starting to get the first of the second-generation Devils fans.

Also, the argument against there being a "central Jersey" is hilarious. To call this area South Jersey is just nonsense. South Jersey might as well be the actual south. Hell, there's a fvcking rodeo down there. Monmouth, Ocean, etc. all take a bit of culture from both North and South and create something different with a mix of the the two. I can't believe that's even being debated. If you've ever been to REAL South Jersey and consider it comparable to the suburbs and shore areas here, then you're just being ignorant, plain and simple. Totally different worlds.

I'm still on a high right now after last night's win. With the way this team has played in these playoffs and with how good the fans have been at the games so far, they deserve a chance to finally close a series out at home and get a chance to celebrate with the loudest Devils fans I've heard in quite some time. The Devils deserve that moment, the fans deserve that moment, and The Rock finally deserves one of those moments. Now I just hope they seize the opportunity to make it happen. Can't wait for Friday.

Dude really talking about banning me? Get real I haven't done anything wrong I make valid points and the only reason you people get mad is because you know I'm right. It's ok to have a different point of view on this team sorry I'm not going to be so happy go lucky when we are 9-7-1 . I expect more.

Well then your expectations are ludicrous. The team is missing two of its top centers and just got it's most dynamic player back. They just beat one of the best teams in the conference at the moment and scored 5 goals on a goaltender who had yet to lose a game. Maybe take a positive or two out of that and say things are looking brighter instead of posting about how much the team sucks in every post. Even after a win you're not happy, choosing rather to say you're happy the team didn't lose two in a row instead of stating that the team came away with a nice win. You even made up things about the Sabres just to try to not give the Devils credit for a win. Guess what, if the season ended today the Devils would be in the playoffs. After last season I don't know how you could take that any other way but positively. I'm convinced you're not a fan of this team and are just trolling for the sake of trolling.
