I don't know if "rookie mistakes" and Cory Schneider belong in the same discussion.
no matter who it is people make mistakes ..let a softie go by when it was easily stoppable.. i mean players are human they arent machines. schneider is a solid all around guy, i think we are in a great spot with him.
I miss Kovy. Hope we get someone like him again one day.
i miss having a star player too.. theres no longer that go to guy that you as a fan feel like you can count on when your down a goal and only a couple minutes left in the third.. he brought a lot of excitement
i feel some what relieved now that the season is over and the rangers did not end up pulling through to win..certainly did not want to hear from their fans all year next season, however i do have a heart and i do feel badly for some of the ranger fans that i know ..i know, we all know how this feels...especially for my girls father who is a ranger fan..guy cheers for the devils whenever they do not play the rangers because he knows im a die hard and at the same time he knows i cannot fvcking stand the rangers..makes me feel kind of bad sometimes lol. On a second note now the season is over and there is no hockey left to watch which always sucks in the beginning of the off season.. but im ready to enjoy this summer and not rush it by too quickly
I'm incredibly superstitious, and I know how ridiculous it is.
For Christmas my sophomore year of college (12/2009 or thereabouts) I got a Devils-themed fold-up chair (one of these bad boys) and I never really used it until the second half of that awful J-Mac season when the team went on that ridiculous run. I swear, every time I sat in it during the games they'd win (I'm not exaggerating, they won at least 90% of the games where I'd bust out that ridiculous looking chair). I definitely associated luck with that chair from that point forward. They obviously didn't make it, so I retired the chair to my basement, thinking that it had run out of its juju.
...until the 2012 playoffs. Going into OT in game 6, I suddenly remembered the chair and thought "hey, why the hell not". I drove home from Rutgers with the sole purpose of getting that damn chair (only about 30 minutes, but still..see the insanity?). They obviously won, so I kept using it for the rest of that run. I watched game one of the Flyers series at a bar, big mistake obviously - watched the rest of that one in the seat and I was pretty sure something freaky was going on. One other particularly stupid example was..I think was game 4 or 5 of the SC finals (the game where Parise scored, I remember that much) I was visiting a friend's beach house in Avalon. The first thing I did when I got there was plant that stupid chair in front of the TV. They won, so clearly it was WORTH IT but I still get ribbed for doing that.
In summary, yeah I'm a little crazy. But that chair's back in my basement regenerating it's lucky juju for the next time the Devils make the playoffs, I can assure you guys of that
every single one of us should go out and get one of these chairs... no joke
I'm sorry but I can't refrain from saying this anymore...Adam Henrique has been absolutely horrible this season. He has been a total joke of a hockey player and it's time he gets benched or placed on the 4th line. He is not a second line center. I can't watch him coast on the ice while his unit concedes goals anymore. I've seriously had it with him .
And again, the refs in this league continue to be pathetically bad.
seriously? hes been a lot better then some of the others out there that consistently do absolutely nothing.. the guy had 4 points in his last 4games before last night 3 of which were goals... right 3 goals in 3 consecutive games... but hes crap alright deserves to be put on the 4th line yup
We need to ship Volchenkov out. Of the defensemen to be sent down for him, yes, I guess Gelly is the right choice, but a promising young defensemen shouldn't be sent down to bring back a progress stopper. Trade him for a bag of pucks as you did Tallinder, Lou.
i dont think volch is as bad or useless as everyone tried to make him out to be.. he plays a hard hitting physical defensive role which is what this team needs
