#1302142 Brodeur retires, joins STL front office

Posted by devlman on 27 January 2015 - 05:24 PM

So be it. Did the right thing by retiring as a player at least, though some will think he hung on too long. At least it never got to be Martin Biron/Mikka Kiprusoff ugly on the ice.

Of course it got that ugly. He's been atrocious the past couple years.

What's more painful is that, with how awful we have been this year, Marty would have played a good amount of games with us had he agreed to come back as a backup. What a sad, fizzled out limp of an ending.

Heard there was an out break in the NHL, and I think I read that Crosby had it and might have passed it on to the Devs

I think you're thinking of herpes and gonorrhea

Who is making that argument?

Anyone who has followed his numbers the past five seasons.

There were some nice moves. I just don't think enough was done for them to take the next step in the West. There are very few 40-goal scorers in the NHL. Don't expect Neal to ever reach 40 again. You never know, but not sure they got that much better.

Tri, I definitely categorized two different guys together which was silly.

Dont forget they will have back arguably the best goalie in the world.

#1266219 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs thread

Posted by devlman on 30 May 2014 - 03:39 PM

I understand the idea of bandwagon. Hockey doesn't get mentioned in this area unless the Rangers are winning. I didn't give anyone sh!t. I said none of them knew a hockey stick from a croquet mallet last week, and now they are "lifetime Ranger fans." You'll notice that everyone else in this thread from NY/NJ understands the dynamic.

Bingo. This is way beyond bandwagon. This is people who dont even know the Rangers were a team until last week. These are people who think two goals get awarded if you score from beyond the blue line. These are people who would trash hockey any chance they get if the Rags werent in the scf. These are people who blatanly ignore and hate on the sport. These are people who have never heard of Henrik Lundqvist. These are your typical Ranger fans.

I hate the Rangers with an undying passion. They're the only team I go out of my way to watch just for the sole purpose of laughing when they lose. They could be playing a team of genetically cloned Hitlers and I'd pop on a Swastika jersey and learn to cheer in German before I'd ever root for those sh!theads from New York. As for the Philly/NY debate, I'd rather see Philly win every year for the next decade than for the Rangers to win once.

I really really really hate the Rangers and everything about them. But, unlike most hate people have for various things in life, my hatred for them is completely justifiable and governed by fact. The Rangers truly are, factually so, a pathetic NHL club with even more pathetic fans.

#1254921 Here we go again. New goal song for 14-15

Posted by devlman on 21 March 2014 - 02:18 PM

LOL, enhancing game day experiences though chanting "you suck". Go on, tell me more about who is 14?

If you've got no idea the majority of fans have been pro YS, pro rr2, then you'll never understand what the goal song and chant added to the atmosphere. Although that wouldnt be surprising since you actually do sound like someone who signed up yesterday.

You should concentrate only on yourself. Like your pal, you've got plenty there to keep you busy.

You and Mazz will realize you've lost. One day.

Lost what? Having an opinion for enhancing game day experiences? What are you, 14?

I suggest you go and have a second look.

You just signed up on this board, don't talk about about how/when others post.
