I would dance a jig if the Rags hired Messier as head coach. Can you imagine if he was an epic failure (which is likely)? The media ripping their golden god because the power play sucks, the fans turning on their ultimate hero because the team is massively underachieving (in their eyes, we all knew what a disaster it would be lmao), and he juggles the lines too much... So much potential gold. So much potential win. But it's not gonna happen, I can't see them hiring someone with no previous NHL head coaching experience. My money is on Lindy Ruff.
I may catch some flack for it (probably should since it is a Devils board) but I still enjoy watching Parise play the game. Love his work ethic and hockey sense. I still have mixed emotions on him leaving but I'm not angry at him. Sure the Devils would've made the playoffs with him here but at least they aren't stuck with his insane contract. At least I can still cheer for him in international play. He's always been solid and clutch for the US team.
Nothing done in the regular season EVER erases or makes up for anything that happens in the playoffs, especially when one team is basically crawling in on life support. But knowing what sh!t stains a lot of Ranger fans are, they'll probably have a parade through the Canyon of Heroes because they "eliminated" the Devils from the playoff contention. I'll will to bet a sizable percentage of these fvcking mongoloids will talk sh!t about it continually. Like anyone will remember it 5 (or even 2) years from now lol.
You're probably right on this one too...they can't get enough of the 'Season's over!' chants now.And honestly I hope Clarkson gets his 6m/year elsewhere.
Clarkson's only getting 6 per in the KHL and I doubt they'd even offer it to him since he's not a native son. He might get 5-5.5 which would be bad enough. Anything above 4.5 and I wouldn't cry about him walking at this point.
Lol, I know these tools will brag about anything. But that's what fans of loser franchises do.
The silver lining, if you want to call it that, is that the team is playing hard, and hasn't quit on DeBoer. It's been a dreadful run, but not the sort of thing that would set the team back in the long term.

Great post Daniel. It has to be without a doubt the most frustrating, unluckiest run in franchise history, but that's what it is- a horrible run. We'll be back to pissing in the rest of the league's Cheerios next year.
