Waiving both guys keeps their options open. If they can't come to a contract agreement w/ Stralman, then both of them will likely stay on the big club. If they can/do sign Stralman, then one of the two will be sent down. Which one will depend on whether they decide to carry 7 or 8 D-men.bingo. the only thing really affected right now is that stralman cannot be signed until someone on the current roster (including pelley and fraser) is removed for one reason or another.

Avery and Betts on waivers? Where's Peter Prucha at right now? And how about Ryan Hollweg? I want to assemble a team of post-lockout Rangers fan favorites. They seem to be going pretty cheaply lately...Blair Betts on waivers. I'd claim him for the PK.
