#1309899 If we pick 7th.... Who would you choose.

I have given up being excited or getting my hopes up on drafting a particular person. I was thrilled when we drafted Tedenby and Josefson. Look how that turned out.

I've just hardly seen this out of you towards posters you don't like. Sure, we all do it when someone is in complete troll mode, creep mode, or is posting "Devils call to action" crap all day. I think Sterio has become a broken record, and he certainly makes the most ludicrous extrapolations to draw things back to Lou (yes inanely) but I think the guy is really sincere. He doesn't like Lou. And If I have to be honest, I have NEVER seen someone take heat and criticism (myself especially) as well as Sterio has over the past two years. Fact is, the guy really doesn't get personal and takes beatings like a champ. Sure I'd wish he'd cut the Lou crap, because he makes little sense with it, but I still think he is a positive force on the board.

Jesus H Christ what is this? High school? SD is a big boy and can stand up for himself.

If I had wanted to read a thread involving group therapy in would have gone to...... I don't know where I would have gone too. But not here.

Why isn't not possible for anyone on this forum to agree to disagree anymore and leave it at that.

#1305956 Ten Years Later....

Posted by Chimaira_Devil_#9 on 20 February 2015 - 11:56 PM

Haha. I don't actually leave till 8.30 PM tomorrow. So hopefully the luck stays for one more night.

Had an awesome time at both games. Tonight was very exciting with the crowd getting into it.

I was in section 5. There were some great people around us. I got was to over excited on the empty netter. Hugged one dude. Tried to high five another guy twice and missed both times. Epic fail.

At the end of the game I shook one of the guys hands which he thought was hilarious and then proceeded to shake everyone else's hand around us.

All in all it was a great night.

#1302489 Brodeur retires, joins STL front office

Posted by Chimaira_Devil_#9 on 29 January 2015 - 12:26 PM

This is such an anticlimax to the career of the sports greatest ever goaltender.

He has got to be sat there thinking "ok, this wasn't the best way to say my goodbye".

The sooner he can get back to New Jersey and the organisation can give him the send off he deserves the better.

#1302487 Same Ol' Sean Avery

Posted by Chimaira_Devil_#9 on 29 January 2015 - 12:18 PM

Unlikely. Firstly, he had a short career after all. Probably dozens and dozens of NHL players that had very long careers secretly gay. I'll actually go from probably to 100%.

Secondly, unpopular opinion here: Sean Avery gets to stay relevant and still gets a reaction when this thread is 3 pages long of people chirping on him over a tweet. He wins.

And finally, chirp Sean Avery for almost everything. But him possibly being gay (just rumoured because he had the guts to not conform to the athlete norm and do things his own way), isn't right. Get on him for being one of the most unlikable despicable athletes this game has ever seen.

Fair point (about his rumoured sexuality). It's not going to help with the stigma within professional sport, my bad.

To be fair to Avery he holds a few NHL records of his own.

Most handbags owned by an NHL player and the highest number of minutes in the closet in the history of the NHL.

Still not enough support for people and the families of people with mental illness anywhere in the world.

Terribly sad.

#1263037 Do you think we could get Joe Thorton?

I think we could get Joe Thornton to do anything.

The slightest bit off pressure and the man caves in.

#1262101 Earnest Congratulations To The Devils

Posted by Chimaira_Devil_#9 on 23 April 2014 - 04:32 AM

Is this the NJDevs equivalent to a drunk text to an Ex?

Y'know I didn't mean those things. Please come back. Come back from Russia and I won't ever make you play defense again. I swear baby I am a changed man. And you know that time you said you wanted us to try stuff out with your friend Ryan. We can. Bring him over. I know how close you two are. I swear i won't get all jealous. Give me another chance. I know i you said you have seen my with that Ryder chick and your friend saw me with Brunner but they are nothing compared to you.

#1261031 The Quest for 91

Posted by Chimaira_Devil_#9 on 14 April 2014 - 09:42 AM

93 was so totally doable too about 10 games ago.

It wasn’t doable!!! It was not impossible, and at the same time probably improbable!!

Why doesn’t anyone get that!!!!

Here let me explain it with this chart:

Impossibly Probable: 23%

Probably improbable: 70%

Probably Impossible : 7%

Doably impossibly probable: 4 Ducks

Unreasonably certain: 99%

Improbably possibly uncertain guaranteed: 3 1/2 lbs.
