#1272000 Cammalleri - 5 years at $5M

Posted by Steadevils on 01 July 2014 - 12:26 PM

Cammaleri fits a need and there are worse deals than this one coming out every minute (5 years 5+ for Orpik!!!!!!!!!, Bolland, Pouloit). People need to chill.

#1233475 Jaromir Jagr Quotes Thread

Jagr on Nichushkin: "Maybe it was his best 3 games I watched, but I said, ‘This guy is going to be the best in the world one day.’"...This one stings.

#1230484 GDT: Reid Boucher called up vs MTL 7pm @ ROCK

Same story as game 1 vs them. Canadians seem to be good AND lucky, which is tough to beat. In general we seem to be average and unlucky.

That takedown by Subban on Elias was a garbage no call. He needs to be put in his place.

#1202095 Kovalchuk Gone, What moves do we make now?

Take the "no name D" water bottle and write "no name O" and hope for the same magic.

My steps forward: plug in that 6 mil cap with Jagr and maybe try to overpay for a young RFA (will plead ignorance on who's still available). Try and patch together a playoff run with some 2-1 1-0 Scheinder and vintage marty's and overall great D..if it doesn't work out then get ready to have a sh!t ton of cap space next offseason.

Skinner flopped down so bad on that Fayne penalty..It was an interference penalty, but it should have been a diving minor on Skinner as well. Also, I can say from experience, after getting hit with a hard shot all you want to do is hit something/someone. I don't blame Fayne on that one.

Bobby Butler really has surprised me. I knew he had good hands and I knew he had a good shot. I did not know that he has speed as well. A couple more games like this one and he will earn an audition in the rotating game show of "Who want's to be a winger for Kovy"!

Hell of a sneaky goal by Zajac.

If the panthers score on the play/scrum before that it would have been on Kovalchuk for not getting back while Parise was skating back like a mad man to disrupt the 2-1...That would have been the absolute worst way for this season to end. For my sanity rooting for Kovalchuk going forward, for the talk on this board and for Parise's future as a hopefully long time captain. Seriously rewatch it, Kovalchuk does not appear in the zone until after the scrum is just about over in front of Marty...I was yelling "WHERE THE FVCK IS KOVY!" Then he made the slick pass to get it to Travis for the WINNER!! So frustrating, but such is the life of rooting for Kovy and as long as its a W it is well worth the angst... That being said SO FRIGGIN HAPPY RIGHT NOW!!

#1067280 Tavares fined for slashing Parise

Posted by Steadevils on 26 November 2011 - 01:04 AM

2,500??? What a joke..Rex Ryan got 75,000 for saying Shut the Fvck up to a fan.

Tavares gets 5 mil a year so that fine is .05% of his yearly salary..This is a parking ticket type fine.

Parise and kovy are looking strong together...Parise is the only player on the roster who can keep up with Kovy's pace and Zach's d covers for Kovy well. My biggest worry was parise not getting his chances, but he had a few good shooting opportunities. Successful experiment through 1 period.
