Such an appropriate game for Marty's statue night. Low scoring game with a great performance by a Devils goalie. The OT winner was a thing of beauty. Hope to see a lot more like that from 14 & 9.

I changed my avatar for the first time in years today and I definitely made the right choice, also happy I bought his player t-shirt. I love Hall.

Zacha with Hall should make an excing top line. I think their skills sets are elite.

The crazy thing is Hall hasn't even begun to show how good he is 5 on 5. I believe Zacha is the only center who fits with him as well.

It's pretty bad Parenteau Auvitu and Quincey are our top 3 possession players to start the year. Prior to camp, none were expected to be on the team. Shero sure does make currency out of nothing.

Great win...really felt like they were going to get shut out. Got to see the game-tying goal, but my 8-year-old daughter (who is fighting a bug, as am I, but is starting to get better) simply ran out of steam with about three minutes left in the third. Regulation ended just as we left the building, then by the time I got to my car, Hall had scored to seal the win. Yeah, it sucked to miss those few minutes...but to spend the majority of the game with my daughter, who had an absolute blast (and was up dancing during most of the breaks with a huge smile on her face), I'll take that tradeoff. Crowd was good, though it's just so hard to get spontaneous "Let's Go Devils!" chants going...I was in 128 last night, and a few guys in my section were really trying (especially in the third), in a good way, and everytime they did, no one really took part, outside of a select few (one of which was my daughter...I had almost no voice at all due to my throat being as sore as it's ever been). Hats off to Cory...gave up a bad goal, but shook it off and was ultimately a huge reason why his team won the game. We are very lucky to have him. 8 goals in 5 GP...I can't bitch about five points with such meager production. But this acey-deucey sh!t has to change. Kind of sucks that the Devils need guys like Henrique and Palmieri to approach last year's production...but they do.

Thought it was a solid effort tonight, slouched a bit in the 2nd but had a great 3rd. Zacha needs to stick with Hallsy for a few games imo, kid could have had two tonight but Dubnyk had a great game. Hall is so good, still can't believe we got this guy

If that doesn't reek of a bunch of stuffed-suit dweebs trying to make fetch happen, I don't know what does. To those idiots: traditions don't get started that way. They just sort of evolve naturally over time. Have you learned nothing with the Diablos failure? I get that you're trying, but some things can't be made to happen through meetings, market research, micro-managing and meticulous planning. You can't treat the fanbase like a bunch of sheep. And even worse, trying to modify an existing chant being used by a well-known university that isn't exactly beloved right now, that never had Jersey roots to begin with...if you insist on trying to create a new tradition all on your own, at least start from scratch, or source something that makes a lot more sense.
