  1. The Hall for Larsson deal is absolutely a huge fleece job and still is. Hall is having a down year and missed 10 games and is still leading the team in points, shots on goal, and plenty of other categories. And this is a down year.

  2. Interesting news. Kelleher and Bayreuther were two of the prospects I was hoping the Devils would have interest in this spring. I'm a fan of signing Kelleher. Everyone's going to talk about his size, understandably, but being able to add a playmaking prospect that has produced at the NCAA level (1.09 Pts/GP) since being a natural freshman is awesome. I've been hoping the Devils would be able to sign him eventually since he attended the 2015 prospect camp. Doesn't turn 23 until next January so it's not like he's one of the older UDFA's, especially for a guy that played 4 years. Still a lon

  3. Good a place as any to once again thank Conte and his team for going with ECHLer Connor Chatham instead of Braydon Point. Gotta have those big prospects.

  4. 69 degrees and partly cloudy here. Sorry, I had to Kinda glad the game got postponed. I was going to go home tonight, go to the gym, then come back and just lay low and watch it. Instead, I'm gonna meet my buddy at the bar and watch the Lightning. Desperately wish the Devils were the ones trying to get into a playoff spot (hard to think that we were actually a couple points ahead of them a few weeks ago...how the fvck did this happen). But, the Lightning are a fun team to watch, so I'll embrace it.

  5. I think you might have just gotten lucky. I'm an hour north of the arena and we are already a foot in, expecting 20-30 inches when it's all said and done They nailed the prediction on this one pretty well

  6. If they fail to show up, do we win by forfeit? Because I'll totally take that right now.

  7. 334 club part 2? (To be fair, even without snow, only about 350 people may have shown up anyway [emoji14]). In any event, LGD. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  8. Thanks for the endorsement guys. I wouldn't mind showing some of my stuff, but I would need more details about the show as well. Also, there are current and past posters here who have equally as good if not better game worn jersey/item collections than me believe it or not. I could also see if possibly they would be interested though no guarantees. I have seen CR1976's man-cave and he has some really nice stuff even just hanging on the wall there as well as the man-cave itself. It is one of the two nicest man-caves I have ever seen.

  9. When I got him in NHL 2016, he turns into a 99 overall in 2 seasons. just kidding I don't know who the fvck this is

  10. If we didn't trade Hall for Adam then who the hell is scoring for this team? We would probably have around the same points as Colorado.

  11. It really depends on which side of the rain line you fell on. I had to sleep at the base here in Philly because I'm on watch today, which I was pretty annoyed at, and even more so when I found out that we got exactly 0" (all rain lol) in Toms River, and here in Philly we got barely 4-5". To the north and west of here though, they're getting hammered with snow. I'm glad they postponed the game though, sometimes after watch I'll shoot up the turnpike to the game but there was no way in hell I was doing that today, and there was also no way in hell my tickets would sell on the ticket exchang

  12. I'm like 5 minutes from our old arena in the Meadowlands here in Bergen County, and we got some to be sure, but nothing like the 1-2 feet that was being predicted.

  13. Central NJ checking in, probably got 6-12. Nothing too crazy.

  15. I live like 20 miles from the arena, i just went outside and there's maybe 3 inches, the streets are plowed because they have been coming down a lot. I'm just surprised because I've gone to games in way worse conditions than this. When is the last time we postponed a game? I can't remember.

  16. They have such a good tank going, let's not screw it up with something like a win. What's the most games they've ever lost in a row anyway? I know they had some bad teams in the 80's, but this feels like it has to be one of the worst losing streaks.

  17. I got a buyback for this game today, they gave it to me no problem. If the weather ends up being not that bad I'll buy cheap tickets off stubhub or ticket exchange and go. If the game actually meant something I would have been going regardless of the weather.

  18. I remember having tickets to a game the day of a blizzard once. I think like 3,000 people showed up and the game went on. I watched on TV, Devils won 5-3 and it was one of the most exciting games I ever saw, Bill Guerin had the game winner if I recall. In any event, I'll be home relaxing after shoveling. I'll watch. LGD

  19. Trade Schneider for a 2018 1st rounder packaged with lovejoy who will act as an anchor and make the new team a bottom 5 team. End result: 2 top 5 2018 picks. Win the cup in 2020 backstopped by Jeremy Brodeur . I would say win the cup in 2019, but I think we'd need a year to gel. Just trying to be realistic.

  20. I saw this post on HF, and I decided to copy and paste it here because it really illustrates very well what kind of mess Shero was left to clean up. If this doesn't put it into perspective, nothing will: 'This is our roster from the 2014-2015 season (every player that played at least one game for us the season before last); I've bolded the players we still have: Goalies: 1) Schneider - Still our #1 2) Kinkaid - Still our #2 3) Clemmensen - Retired to become our goalie development coach (39 years old) Defencemen: 1) Fraser - [emoji23]

  21. As far as wins go, though you obviously have to have considerable talent to win a boatload of games, high win totals will always speak much more about pure durability, regardless of shootouts/no shootouts...you can't win a lot of games unless you're playing in a lot of games (though Ken Dryden was an exception, albeit somewhat short-term)...and it goes without saying the ONLY reason you're playing in a lot of games for several seasons on end is because you're clearly at least above average in what you do over that time frame, and Lundqvist is definitely that...like you said, even if he doesn't

  22. That's where I am...why the hell should that team get a new building? The Coyotes are the NHL's version of trying to make fetch happen. It's not going to. Stop it already.

  23. Ridiculous how long this was strung out. I have never seen in sports history a dead corpse propped up for this long, and for absolutely no reason that's of any benefit to the league. So many twists and turns in this saga. Just give them to Quebec or Seattle already. They would fill the building every night.
