It’s not really the truth though, at all. You’re just being overly critical for no reason, as usual.3 points

If I were in charge, I would just post funny reasons. Ty Smith had a traumatic frontal wedgie and is day to day.2 points

Stop me if you've heard this before....a win would be nice, but I expect a blowout. $5 to the site if we don't give up a goal in the first 5 minutes. Also, today's fun fact....our team leader in points (Zacha) has just 25 - good for last in the league. (Reinhart has 33 for the Sabres, Vrana for Detroit has 31, Batherson for Ottawa has 30, Forsberg for Nashville has 29, and Comtois for Anaheim has 28). If that's not alarming and sad, I don't know what is. Oh, and Eric Comrie is in net today. Hope someone already gave him the memo that 6 goals will be scored on him today.1 point

Our D is Swiss cheese, white made it apparent. Ahl guy comes in and looks more solid than half of nhlers we have on the backline1 point

Well at this point, were going to have great shot at getting a top notch D man in this draft.1 point

Please. If it was Johnsson missing a wide open net 20 people would have posted about how he choked.1 point

Thanks for saying it. It's starting to sound like LD lite to me.1 point

I mean it didn't work, but I like that they are trying to take charge and show leadership.1 point

i don't care for anymore #1 picks, unless there's a mcdavid/mathews player out there. this year just feels like a big dud.1 point

Actually not mad about how they played in the first.1 point

Maltsev really has good hands. Some of these clips they showed were insane1 point

It's a shame that most of the Devils' recent star players left the organization on such negative terms (Parise, Kovalchuk, Hall). Kovalchuk really was a special player and was so fun to watch. It's too bad he is mostly associated with his abrupt retirement, even if it ended up for the better in the long run. He really contributed so much to a great playoffs run.1 point

Also. I'm pretty sure if the District 5 team went through covid and that Gordon Bombay didn't have any days off to make them practice with all his fancy tricks that they were not winning the championship that season. Honestly not being able to practice that much between games for such a young team is really not helping1 point

Yeah, very weird lol. I thought perhaps I was seeing things, but I just went back to the link and refreshed the page and it's still there.1 point

As usual, let's just see some points from Hughes, Nico, Bratt, Zacha and Smith please. LGD!1 point

We didn't, my mistake - I was looking at the the starting goalies and the first link I saw said Comrie, which I thought was weird. He's not even on the depth chart lol, no idea how they screwed that up. But, we do have Cormier...maybe he'll be in net tomorrow.1 point

Something to keep in mind as many fans sees us not making progress or wtv... we have to understand that this is a cycle. While some teams are "ahead" of us now. It's very very clear who's going to be at the bottom in a few years and it won't be us. Just like us many years ago, many teams are a bubble team at best with nooo chance of winning it all, but they hold on to it and will just let their team crash down before they actually do the right thing. Teams like MTL right now, they have soooome young talent but most of the team is made of guys they traded for to win now and old vets. And there's many teams like this. So soon enough it's going to catch up to them if they don't recaliber and make some sacrifices for the future. And if they don't well they'll be the teams at the bottom of the league very soon and by then most of our core will be in their primes and we can be sure we won't be losing most of our games by 1 goal anymore1 point

True. But just the fact that Buffalo had an 18 game losing streak and are still only 1 pt behind the Devils is kinda nuts1 point
-
That's fair. He's had 3 seasons of 30+ starts and a sub 3 era. The rest has been fragmented. Last years covid year...his rookie year. One more 30+ start sub 3 era season would put him in the convo...2 more would prob put him in. The wins will never be there for him...even if the Mets started scoring tons of runs for him, he won't be able to catch up1 point

its true but then... who fvcking knows haha What's scary is looking at past mock drafts from like... mid-season and see what scouts are thinking when they havent been able to see all the prospects as much https://www.nhl.com/news/adam-kimelman-2017-nhl-mock-draft/c-285904700 checkout this mock draft. Knowing what we know now. It's insane. I think we'll look back at this draft the same way in a few years1 point

I know some fans also don’t want the first pick in case they “choose wrong”, so I guess everyone has different tolerance for risk.1 point
-
I understand. It’s probably only safe if you haven’t picked your guy. If you have, say, #1 and you trade for #4 because you think #2 and #3 won’t pick your guy, and they do, that’s bad.1 point
-
i mean, this likely means we'll land first overall and would have basically landed on all the wrong years lol Give us a different timing and getting McDavid and Matthews instead and it's a different story1 point
