  2. I really hope the Devils are able to get him over to America when his KHL contract expires.

  3. nobody questioned DeAngelo’s talent. It was just the whole “hating black people, calling anyone with a different opinion a liberal snowflake, using the n-word at every level of hockey in his career, fist fighting teammates in the hallway to the locker room” thing that people didn’t like.

  4. The Calder winner/instant superstar part would be ok though.

  5. He has so many qualities that would fit well with this team.

  7. He even wore red. No not Quinn, he would only create drama.

  8. I think it's so fvcking cool that they're out in the stands with "the people" instead of in a private box.

  9. I’d like to think Quinn would do the same for his brothers

  11. wasn’t Kiril like 25 when he came over here? Hope to fvck that isn’t Gritsyuk’s path.

  12. He said that before transatlantic travel he needs to work on his game. Kaprisov is his example for his path.

  13. Don’t listen Bader. He is the worst. He is absolutely svcking and understand nothing. And he doesn’t watch hockey. he did rank Raymond as only 6th! He had Sanderson at 13, behind Zion Nybeck. Fockin Nybeck! Guy with meh skating and height of dwarf. Other highlights from 2020: 10 Stutzle 14 Pashin 15 Grans 18 Lundell 20 Quinn 22 Foerster 23 Coangelo 25 Johanneson 27 Ovchinnikov 30 Finley 32 Poirier Unranked: Holloway Unranked: Guhle Unranked: Reichel Unranked: Schneider Unranked: Neighbors Unranked: Grieg (thanks, Steve) Baders job is nothing. Skills, league, roles, partners, maturing, who cares. Rantanen is much more shooter, Slafkovsky is more playmaker. With better skating, but Rantanen is little bit faster. I would say Slafkovsky play much better as forechecker at the same age. Nemec and Slaf are very good. But it is too early to call someone new Rantanen or new Hedman. Because if everybody know that Rantanen is Rantanen, he would be top 3 or may be even top 2 pick. We should compare Slafkovsky, Nemec or Jiricek, and not trying to compare Rantanen and Hedman.

  14. I did rank Okhotyuk as our top 5 prospect before previous season. When it wasn’t mainstreamly. He is our best defensive defenseman prospect, miles ahead. His skill combo is absolutely great, and he could cost us not so much, because his offensive potential is questionable. But you know what - defensemen could make impact once or twice in the game, but they could help minute after minute, if they could win most of puck battles, have speed and strong gap control etc. it’s a non stop work. I truly believe this kid will help devils in the hardest minutes when devils will have this type of minutes. Fitz jr is just a guy.

  15. On which goalie??

  17. Agreed, but this guy isn't saying "oh he reminds me of such and such" he is saying statistically this player is on par with this player. And as far as I can tell it does not account for the quality of the team mates that the individual is playing with. So Luke could go back to Michigan next year, put up the same points and regress on this model, yet have picked up harder minutes and played on what is looking like a weaker team.

  20. Maybe if he goes 4-5 years without sniffing a Cup, he can change his name to an unpronounceable symbol…

  21. In fairness, some of these fake jerseys are so bad they're not even like skin at all. I enjoyed watching "The Prince" give up an OT goal with that stupid "what happened" look on his face.

  22. This Battle of Alberta game is absolutely nuts

  23. i can settle for that... but each game goes to 3-4 OTs then... i want them tired lol

  30. Carolina is fvcking useless. World beaters against everyone else, can’t even score a fvcking goal against the Rags.

  31. Seriously? Fitz’s kid is like 25 and has barely sniffed the NHL. Okhotiuk is 21 and has top 4 d potential. He’s pretty easily our best defensive prospect that’s not named Luke Hughes. Casey Fitzgerald is probably not even in the Sabres top 10 prospects.

  32. Nothing compares to Doc. He was just the best there was (at least in my lifetime). But Cangy did a great job filling his shoes. I was surprised that he is stepping away from this job as he seemed to enjoy it, was good at it, and started to get national recognition and gigs. Wish him nothing but the best. That said, while I like Kenny Albert, I think the Devils broadcast is better served by someone not associated with the Rangers or is lined up to take over their PxP job once Sam rides off into the sunset. Kenny is a great announcer, but I get the feeling that he would be here a few years, then move over to the Rags. That's not worth it. I've been following the Utica Comets a bit this year and have heard all of their posted highlights on Twitter. Their PxP guy is really good and would be a great replacement for Cangy IMO. Give that guy the call-up to the National.

  33. We don't always realize but we've been so damn spoiled as fans having Brodeur and Doc for SO long, it became our standard. Now for the rest of our lives, anyone stepping in those roles will always be pale in comparison.

  34. Yeah I love Matt, but PBP isn’t his forte. He’s a great studio host.

  35. have met him several times and agree he’s one of the nicest guys around, but I can’t stand him on the radio. You’ll hear a goal horn, a 2 second. pause, and then “he scooooores!”.

  36. I agree, but I will also say that Chico is so good and so enjoyable, I can tolerate Matt. And, on top of that, there were a number of games this season where I started watching on TV and had to switch to radio because I had to drive my daughter somewhere. Usually I would just DVR and watch when I get home, but this season got to a point where I was fine with just listening and not wasting the time going back to watch. And I have to say, I found the radio broadcasts far more enjoyable, and Chico is a huge part of that. He is so right on the money with his analysis the majority of the time.

  37. Chico is really the only reason to listen to the Devils "radio" broadcast. Matty is just awful. It shouldn't take him half a period to announce the score.

  38. Out of the 32 television PBP announcers in the league, I would place Cangi somewhere in the middle third. That's plenty good enough for me as some announcers I have heard are really cringy. Cangi had a bit of a shaky start but by season 3 he hit his stride and has been decent since. I will actually miss him on the telecasts of the games. Thankfully Cangi's position is determined by MSG and not our owners so the chance of his replacement being the cheapest hire around is unlikely. My first choice would be Kenny Albert but I think he has too much of a good thing going on with the Rangers radio as well as ESPN to leave that. I also think he will likely be replacing Sam Rosen soon as he appears to be winding down his career. I hope it's not Laughlin. While he is pretty good at being an MC or a host, he is just awful as a PBP guy.

  40. To be fair the Franchise he was referring to was the Binghamton Devils.

  41. Yeah that's what im thinking, they really can't take the chance to not at least get a player who will be very useful for them, Wright appears to be a safe bet.

  42. I really can’t imagine they don’t take him.

  43. I didn’t watch but they both lost in OT 4-3 losses. Former Devil Aaron Dell was in Rochester’s net. Daws let in 4 goals on 29 shots in game 2, Schmid let in 4 on 38 in game 3. Daws let in 3 on 22 shots in game 1 so switching out makes a lot of sense if they wanted to try to turn things around.
