Devils did exactly what you want to see against a bad team. Ducks actually had their moments, but the Devils held them at bay when they had to. Great job all-around. And yeah, I actually had a reason to notice #17, which has been as rare as it gets as of late.

mcleod picked up his 15th assist on that goal. guy carved out a heck of a little bottom-6 role for himself. he works hard, he forechecks like it’s the stanley cup finals, he skates like he’s being chased by an alligator. kudos to him for making a career out of it.

Ha, I was in Atlanta with a couple of my college buddies in November for a college football game. We were at a bar the night before the game that was about 500 yards from Mercedes Benz stadium. Turned out Lionel Ritchie and Billy Joel were playing there that night. By the time we realized what was happening we were able to stubhub tix for like $13 because LR had already started. its not typically the type of show I would have interest in but it was fun

When you’re THAT bad I think you’re pretty much resigned to your fate. It’s about wondering what you can get for guys like Henrique and hoping you can land Bedard…and enjoying whatever moments Zegras can give you. You become indifferent to the on-ice product because there’s just no point in holding them to any particular standard nor investing too much emotion into them.

Kinda hard to use anything done against the Ducks as any great measuring stick…that team is really bad…you wonder how the hell they ever won 12 games (though of course even the worst teams usually win at least 25 or so). All you ask is that your team beats them, either in convincing or ugly fashion…just get those two points.

I can’t get past it, I’m too OCD. Funny thing to me is, when we were wearing the heritage jerseys, most people were wishy washy about them, like big deal, I hate the green, etc. I bet at least some of those people would love to have the team wearing them right now…
