imagine lou got out of it by showing malakhov provided an invalid birthday on his paperwork and his actual birth certificate proves that he is actually 34 on a more realistic note, if lou was not relatively sure that he could get rid of at least mogilny's salary, then he would not have waited this long... there is no way... unless this is the same lou that signed the m&m contracts, there must be some loophole, maybe even with malakhov there (possibly that he did not want other teams to exploit this season also?) or maybe that is just wishful thinking...

I think you nailed it here. Faster + A puck moving d-man (like Nieds). I know this is a lot, but if we had nieds + 1 more decent consistent (not necessarily top of line) scoring forward we would have gone a lot further, but that is all the past (especially with the salary cap we now have to deal with).

thanks for the great outlet for talking devils... i can say i was walking in circles after the loss.. but while i was upset.. i just am happy about all of the things we acomplished this year... here's to a great offseason and some clutch signings (and a salary cap increase)

Is anyone else extremely disgusted with the NBC Commentating... everything about it... i've never had to actually mute a game like I did today... it doesn't help that we are losing... but regardless they have been at it throughout the game... Staal has everything going for him... no wonder he's in GQ... what the hell kind of comment is that? and Brodeur is showing his frustration by taking a jab at the player who just ran him through his net? You have to be kidding me... The worst commentated game I have EVER seen...

I have a conspiracy of my own... Bettman cancelled the 04-05 season because the devils win it every 5 years (and sometimes in between : ) )

I was there for both of them and those were amazing... But I have to say that, that 0-0 tie was my first ever devils (hockey) game and it was kind of weird not seeing a goal... it was Dec. 23 if I remember correctly (I can't believe I remember that)... if you watch the DVD from (03?) marty has half of the puck and hasek has the other half from that game p.s. does anyone know when the last scoreless game was played in the NHL? Is there a list anywhere I can find?
