  1. Hah! You're the guy from Reddit I was talking to in your thread. I'm u/BrodeurCinemaClub there. How'd you like your seats?
  2. I THOUGHT that was you I walked past during the first intermission, but you weren't wearing your 226 jersey so I wasn't certain.
  3. He looks sorta like Dean Ambrose in this picture. Creepy.
  4. Count me in. I think we as a fanbase are snakebitten lately by the shortened season (a bad stretch of 14 games would be a dagger in a lockout year) and a historically bad 2010. Things are never as good or as bad as they seem, and this team has 68 games to get healthy, get rolling, and get it together in a weak division.
  5. His face-punch Fenwick, however, is off the charts. (...did I do that right? Is Fenwick a thing? A hockey thing?) There's worse teams to do it against than the Flyers, at least?
  6. http://theahl.com/stats/transactions.php Please keep your sarcasm to a dull roar.
  7. Seriously, this is a ridiculously baited question by Chere. What happens if Marty says he wouldn't waive it? We're all up in arms about him not being a team player. If he refuses to answer, everyone's upset that he refuses to say he'd stay or want to leave. It's early November. This isn't even remotely relevant until February. Chere's just trying to stir up page views.
  8. I doubt the games played bonus had anything to do with it, according to TG it's $100,000 each after 60, 70, and 80 games.
  9. I think I'm in 109 today. Will be nice to see things from that end of the arena for a change.
  10. Yes, but there wasn't one last year, and this is the first I'm seeing anything official about it for this year.
  11. Feel free to delete this if it's common knowledge and I just missed it the first time around, but... http://devils.nhl.com/club/page.htm?id=87888 I was perusing the promo nights just now and saw that March 18th against the Bruins is now considered Retro Night. I don't recall seeing this when the promo nights were first announced, though I could be wrong. I figure it's slightly bigger of a deal this year than others because of the outdoor game - I would have guessed they were going to go retro for that one if anything this year, so pulling out the red and green for March 18th suggests to me that either they won't for the Yankee Stadium game (commemorative patch on the current jersey, as some have suggested?) or two retro games this year.
  12. I might be. Not entirely sure yet and probably won't know til the day of.
  13. I really think they used the list as "suggestions" rather than "the one with the most votes (Rock & Roll Part II excluded) definitely gets played." While I don't know about a total conspiracy, there is no way in hell you can tell me that that Monster Truck song was the top voted song during the period between the Ranger and Canucks games, when the vast majority of people I've seen had never even heard of the song or band before. I'm a hardcore music fan, and even stuff I don't like I'm at least aware of the existence of. I had never heard of the song or band before the Canucks game. I think most likely they had their three choices (or at least general ideas), and it was going to take a groundswell of support for one or two songs to really change that, which didn't materialize the way we on NJDevs and Reddit and wherever else really thought it would.
  14. I could be losing my marbles, but I could have sworn I read something from Lou (via TG or someone maybe?) that said they expected Schneider could be back to backup on Tuesday. Which I took to mean Marty would be starting. Again, could have mis-read, could have made it up in my head entirely, can't seem to find it now. But that's what I thought I read this morning.
  15. I realize Garrioch isn't the most popular writer, but there's this bit from his latest: http://www.ottawasun.com/2013/10/26/anaheim-ducks-goalies-make-good-trade-bait If something really is in the works, the move makes sense. Even if something isn't in the works, as a few have noted already, someone had to go down to clear roster room for Salvador returning, and the only options on D were Gelinas or Larsson. Personally I think it's temporary until Volchenkov or Fayne get "injured" the way Tedenby was "injured" to start the season.
  16. Patty isn't much of a surprise, he didn't travel with the team. Hope he's back Thursday though. Or perhaps showcasing for a trade...?
  17. I wouldn't mind Seven Nation Army, but I'm surprised if it's really the top (non-Rock & Roll Part 2) vote getter. It sure seemed like Light Em Up and Howl were getting a ton of support.
  18. STEEEEVVVVEEEE AAAAANNNNDDD CHICCCCOOOO INNNNN SPAAAAAACCCCCEEEE
  19. I can't decide if this game being Ottawa's home opener is going to be a plus or a minus for the Devils, for both reasons stated above. I'd just really like to have at least one win going into Saturday's game.
  20. Making some pretty big assumptions about even being able to play a goal song over the next three home games...
  21. I think he's the most likely choice, but he doesn't currently do games outside of the NJ/NYC/Philly area, so I'm wondering if he wants the increased travel. Still wish we could have kept Kevin Weekes in the organization, he'd be a perfect fit.
