  1. I want Keller, if he ends up a similar type prospect to Marner it will be an exciting future.
  2. I am too excited to get Clayton Keller...it seems to good to be true to get the next Kane, Marner or Drouin type prospect. I also have a feeling Severson will be traded for a mid first round pick.
  3. What a waste of an interview. Do your research and pry information about certain players in the Devils range.
  4. Would I ever love to use this pick to trade up for a falling Debrincat or Rubtsov. Opens up an additional contract as well. This is an amazing deal.
  5. Its a shame, I've been posting or lurking over the past 17 years. To think it has survived that long.
  6. I would possibly trade up for Keller if things are looking dicey around 8.
  7. Here are the values of our picks. 11th overall: 38% chance of a top 6 forward 70% chance at 100 games played 41st overall: 11% chance of a top 6 forward 41% chance at 100 games played 76th overall: 8.5% chance at a top 6 forward 26.5% chance at 100 games played 101st 102nd 104th overall: 3% chance at a top 6 forward (9) 20% chance at 100 games played (60)
  8. Nothing, why take a bad attitude who has a 10% chance at learning the game while affecting the rest of the team instead of a 2nd/3rd rounder who still has a 25 - 40% chance of playing in the NHL for 100 games. Hell those 2nd/3rd rounder have a 10% chance of being top 6 players, something Yakupov is not.
  9. I wouldn't waste a pick on him, the guy doesn't know how to play pro hockey and is nowhere close to knowing.
  10. Miles Wood will not be a top 6 forward, he has a bad shot and his playmaking isn't elite. Unless he develops an elite touch in tight I can't see him scoring much more than 15 goals on a good year.
  11. I thought Blandisi was terrible today and I don't feel his style will ever put him in favour with any NHL coaches. A lot of flare and very little substance. I believe he will eventually earn his worth on the PP. Severson looked like Drew Doughty out there. He was toying with Marlies forwards. If he translates this confidence to the NHL he will be a 40 point defensmen next year and people will be sorry they ever thought of trading him.
  12. I've seen him play 8 times now and he continues to do things that you like to see in a winger. He has good speed to get a step on defensemen and skates through checks. He got off a couple good slapshot as well. I'd like to see him on the PP because that often determines what a player appears to be to the public, a Kennedy or a Boyes.
  13. Lappin has a little bigger frame at 6`1 but I can't seem to find a comparison for him. Maybe Brad Boyes without the peak season.
  14. What a play by Lappin, my boy looks good out there.
  15. Lappin is an NHL winger, he has excellent speed, good hands and a good shot that he gets off from anywhere.
  16. Against an All Star team, this is just a positive for the future.
  17. I'm really happy with where we are picking. Lets hope teams go defense crazy early.
  18. I prefer Johnny Quid over Johnny Q. Proves that he is money.
  19. Either I am happy with
  20. With the way Keller, Jost and Brown have been playing at the Under 18, i'm confident NJ will get a potential top 6 center or 1st line winger.
  21. I will be in chat for the Albany game tonight. I payed the 44 dollars and gambled on getting a good deal on albany run this year.
  22. Elias while not healthy this year, still is a good possession player. I wouldn't mind signing him to a one year contract as well, why not. Anything he does can only rub off on Zacha on being a better pro. Zacha, all he did was a +7 in scoring chances 5 on 5 for an 81.82%. I can't remember a better 1st game by a rookie.
  23. "You can't really compare the two. I wanted to win the national championship," Santini said about losing in the NCAA Frozen Four tournment. "The whole team did. That's what we worked for all season. I guess this is the consolation prize. It's not comparable. I wanted to be in the NHL, but I also wanted to win the championship." This is why Santini will be a future captain. He is still pissed about the loss.
  24. With what happened with Vesey I'm glad NJ didn't gamble any further with Wood. Players are getting paid much quicker these days anyway, if Wood ends up being a core player NJ will most likely sign him up long term.
