    Yeah that one was classic.

The one in my section was "Hey McMullen, don't be a Nash-hole, keep the Devils in NJ!"  Security took it away from him...we all booed the sh!t out of that guy.

Man, if the Devils had actually left...I have no idea what I would've done.  If I would've kept following the team even if they'd left, if I would've adopted another team...if the Whalers had moved in to fill the sudden void (supposedly that was a possibility), would I have become a NJ, er, Whalers fan?  (I'm sure they would've have changed the name).  Don't even like to think about it.

Yea...  I'd be a Flyers fan.  I don't want that.
    I'm glad they stayed.   lol

I'll preface my response here by saying that I am far from in the know when it comes to media coverage and the inner workings of press relations, but isn't The Athletic an independent organization/publication, and therefore would be in charge of and have full authority over who covers particular teams?  How would the Devils get to control the information released to the public based on who The Athletic puts in place for various teams?  For example, if I went out and happened to create some new media company, and then I hired you and 31 other people to cover each individual team, and I specifically put you in charge of the Devils and said "go to each game and afterwards at the press conference, ask X Y and Z"... how do the Devils have any say in that process?  I'm sure that every media organization probably needs to get press credentials and have their company "approved" by the NHL teams in order to actually be allowed to attend games and press conferences, but that kind of things obviously happens at the beginning, and I don't think they require notification or approval of every personnel change that happens within that media company....right?

My understanding, from earlier in this thread, is there have been instances where the Devils criticized writers for tougher questions and make it more difficult to cover them.

Devils don’t control the coverage, but do control the access.

Pretty much. Personally, if it was me I would have let Cameron go home and then taken Sloan to Pound Town, but that’s just me.

I mean, he was a senior who likely was mayor of Pound Town, even without a car...
he had bigger plans for the day, but likely still paid a visit back at the pool anyways.

I quote "Ninnnnnne times" often irl, and very few pick it up.
But now kids I hire out of college haven't even heard of the movie... other than they "think" their parents liked it...

  5. Week 10: It's Over, BIG BLUE WINS BY LOSING!

Ok, so this wasnt drawn out at all.     Neither picked right this week, but Big Blue was flawless through week 9.
Eaglejelly went with the Cardinals who lost to the Panthers 34-10 for his second strike.

it didnt matter what BigBlue did, as he had no strikes.  But he went with the Ravens who lost to the Dolphins 22-10.

    BIG BLUE WINS.

  6. Week 9: Only one

    Week 9 was rough.
A's Majestic still salty over his loss (clearly), bailed and exits the game with a no-selection for his second strike.
Eaglejelly, DD56 and Henrique went with the Cowboys who lost to the Broncos 30-16.  It was Eaglejelly's first strike, but DD56 and Henrique's second strike.

Only BigBlue picked right this week, as the Colts won 45-30 against the Jets.

On to week 10 with Big Blue (no strikes) vs EagleJelly (1 strike).

  7. Week 8: A trio of losers, almost a quartet

Big Blue went with the Bills over the Dolphins, 26-11

from there, things got dicey to bad.

Eaglejelly went with the Chiefs, who narrowly defeated the Giants 20-17.

A's Majestic and DD56 picked the Bengals, but the Jets stormed back for a 4th quarter comeback, 34-31
Henriqued went with the Chargers, but the Patriots also won by 3 - 27-24.
This was the first strike for all three.

  8. Week 7: Bye Aylbert

Aylbert went with the Panthers over the Giants, who won 25-3...  the Giants won that is... so bye Aylbert!  His first loss came in week 1 with the Ravens OT loss to the Raiders.

BigBlue went with the Packers as they defeated Washington 24-10
Eaglejelly went with the Rams who won 28-19 against the Lions
A's majestic and DD56 went with the Cardinals who defeated the Texans with a fun score of 31-5
and Henriqued rolled with the Patriots who smacked the Jets 54-13.

Bring on week 8...  Aylbert, stay home.

it's funny, because for me, personally, I now get to watch every Devils game for "free" (in essence). I'm out of market and I'm a cable cutter, so I used to have to pay $180/season for NHL.tv; but now I can watch directly on Hulu (which I already pay for) and ESPN+ (which is free to Hulu subscribers.)

So while everyone is complaining about this, I'm just over here like

I'd gladly pay $200/season to get back NHL.tv...   ESPN+ is horrible and so buggy.

how does a forum moderator not know how to use the ignore button?

I feel incredibly validated that a guy who lied for random internet clout or just to be a sensationalizing debbie downer has egg on his face after telling all of us that he had a broken collarbone 10 minutes after he was injured. How do you feel?

I don't block anyone...  but continue to just spit at people and feel good about it.

  11. I was against us moving to consolidated threads.

I like having a general thread for comments about the regular season musings outside of the game day threads;  but for specific topics; I've always liked here's an article link, here's your thoughts on it, etc...  and not, hey this was posted already on page xx of the mega thread; with a lot of cross-talk going on.

A general thread let's us post random comments without making a new thread...    but it's far easier searching for topics/events if they are in their own threads.

"I’d also like to take the time to address the 3-4 people who yelled at me, PMed me and criticized me"

"Reckless and stupid comments deserve to be called out."

You have been, and will continue to be a self-righteous, arrogant poster who is unable to control their emotions.
The fact that "3-4" people called you out for this should be telling about your flaws here, instead, you somehow found validation.
