  1. I hate that I cannot get to these signings. I would love to attend them.
  2. I'd like to see Zharkov and Halischuk stick, but I doubt Zharkov will get the minutes he needs to continue his development.
  3. It might be just me, but I'm always pretty confident in a shootout with cap and Zach. And were winning with so many players down. I hope Clarkson isn't gone for a long time.
  4. I was watching The Knicks/Nets game Sat afternoon and couldn't help notice all the empty seast. You think it's because both teams are dreadful or is it that the Nets don't draw? Did they draw when they were making all those finals a few years back?
  5. I had gotten some Devils ornaments from a friend that knew someone that used to work for the Devils in the early 90's. I'll have to dig them out and post a pic of them. I think there was some green on the ornaments as well. That, sadly, is the only Devils xmas gift I ever got.
  6. I'm a huge autograph collector, but have yet to stand outside the Rock to wait on graphs. What time would the players show up on a saturday morning? BC, great Parise you have. I got a 8x10 signed. I wish I could make it to the signing as I would like to have a puck signed, but being that I'm from the Bronx and don't own a car, it would be a hard commute for me from NYC and I'm not sure if there is even public trans to the location.
  7. I'm hoping to make this game. This was my all time favorite Devils Team.
  8. I'm hoping the Devils don't back out on wearing the original colors. As mentioned before, it was already released in a statement that they would and if they go back or try to darken the colors, it would po alot of fans. I am hoping the jerseys go on sale as I have been wanting one for years.
  9. If this doesn't go through for the Nets, they are gonna have a hard time winning the fans back with their desire to leave Jersey. For their sake, they better hope they are in Brooklyn in the next 5 years.
  10. I still want them. I just can't afford the tickets, so I will keep an eye out on ebay for them. I'm sure it will take a while. I'm still looking for the bobblehead of the mascot from a few years back.
  11. I personally don't mid the You Suck chants. Yes, it's classless, but quite honestly, I hear worse in the Bleachers at Yankee Stadium. I also love that they bought back RnR part II over that deadful techno song they were using a couple years back. No one got excited over that song. I was in favor of using Blur's Song 2 as a goal song, but I was in the minority over that one. My only issue is the Whistle followed by Rangers Suck then a anti-gay remark toward the player in question (usually Jagar, who hasn't even played in the NHL in 2 seasons)when, like the previous post mentioned, they are playing Calgary. There was even a dude wearing a Rangers t shirt at the game with his little girl and this fan (a college kid) started shouting obsenities at him. See, this is why we get a bad rap as bad fans. I know the guy was asking for it by wearing a Rags shirt to a Devils/Ducks game, but come on. The guy was with his child. The little girl started to cry and I felt bad. The dude and his buddies were just really tearing into him and the poor guy had to leave with his girl sobbing. That was just wrong. That was classless. Do we as fans hate the Rangers that much that we have to insult a little girl just cause her dad's stupid enough to wear a rags shirt to a game? Direct the hate toward the sweaters and know when it's appropriate to chant.
  12. Wasn't the trapezoid put in place because the NHL didn't want a goalie with puck handling skills like Marty putting the puck in play too much?
  13. If it's a reasonable price, I would definately be in on this. It would give me a chance to get to know you guys better and maybe some incentive not to be so shy when posting
  14. I went to the one at Bridgewater earllier in the year and was able to get Danakyo, Chico, Dowd, Marshall.
  15. I think the Nets moving to the Rock would be huge for them. One, Newark is an urban city and as such basketball, not hockey, is king. Two, most people who are ubanites (such as myself) don't own a car and there's no trans to the IZOD on nights where the Nets play. Having them play in the Rock permanently would give them eaiser access to the arena by train, bus or even walking.Listen, you put a team like the one that went to the NBA finals 3 years running and that place will sell out nightly, and may even out draw the Devils in their own building.
  16. I think the Isles are locked into Nassau Coliseum until 2015. I hope they can get the Lighthouse or a revised version of it off the ground.
  17. I have a date that night, but might be able to make it for the second period since I'll be in the area.
  18. Wish I could, but I have no way of getting down to Livingston. I need a puck signed by Elias for the collection.
  19. I'd love to see a Canadien/Nords rivalry again.
  20. I hate threads like this. I have been a die hard Yankees fan since I was 5 years old in 1976. In fact, my first game was the Chris Chambliss home run game against KC and I have never looked back since. I have cheered for them when they beat the Dodgers in the World Series and cheered for them when they lost to KC in the playoffs after winning 108 regular season games. I cheered for them when we made the series in 1981 and cheered for them when our pitching staff had people like Andy HAwkins, George Frazier, Dave LaPoint, Sam Milatello, Mike Witt, Steve Trout. I cheered for Donnie Baseball, Dave Winfield, Reggie Jackson, Rickey Henderson and Dave Righetti and cheered for Steve Kemp, Butch Wynager, Andre Robertson, Omar Moreno and Kevin Mass. My point is to say all Yankees fans are bandwagon jumpers is insulting and reeks of sour grapes. Not all of us Yankees fans are arrogant either, although there are quite a few of those as well. But I also know alot of arrogant Mets fans as well, my buddy being one of them. Plus the argument of the Yankees buying their way to a championship doesn't fly because The Mets, Red Sox, Angels are just a few of the teams I see that are doing it as well. I'm sorry for the anger. I am just sick and tired of people trashing the Yankees just cause we try to win a championship and spend some money doing it unlike Kansas City and Pittsburgh that just line their pockets with the green backs they get from their fans and MLB. There will come a time when the Yankees will stink as bad as the Padres, Nationals, Mets and when they do, I will still be rooting for them.
  21. That would stink if the Isles move out of the area. I grew up a fan of Bossy and those championship teams. I became a Devils fan in the late 80's because it's a heck of a lot easier for me to get to a Devils games as opposed to making the trek out to Hempstead, where there is no public trans. Doesn't mean I still don't root for them to do well. Well, except when they play the Devils
  22. been dying to buy one of these sweaters, so here's hoping they have them for Xmas.
  23. Not a lot of stuff that intrests me. NHL store or Modells is where I go.
