Although coach Brent Sutter and GM Lou Lamoriello won't tip their hands, it is expected that Martin Brodeur will make his first start in almost four months Thursday night at the Prudential Center against the Colorado Avalanche. It would be Brodeur's first game since tearing a tendon in his left biceps on Nov. 1. Defenseman Paul Martin (upper body muscle pull) will not play against the Islanders. Martin will sit out his fourth straight game, but could be back by Thursday. http://www.nj.com/devils/index.ssf/2009/02..._get_start.html

  6. No reason for him to go to the Nassau Mausoleum, as there would be nothing for him to do. I don't blame him for not wanting to go.

  8. Not a bad deal by the Islanders as they are stock piling draft picks so far they have 2 firsts and 3 seconds
  9. here is a translation; Here's what Maxime Deland of the daily 24 hours from Montreal, Quebecor announced a property. On the site, the article is missing at the moment: "Four players from the Montreal Canadiens were arrested in the night from Thursday to Friday, for a history of drug and sex scandal, according to a source close to the organization. In total, ten players are linked in one way or another in this case. It is not known, however, the identity of the players involved, as well as those who have been apprehended. The Service de police de la Ville de Montreal did not want to confirm the arrests. Back tumultuous Pittsburgh Also according to our source, the atmosphere was very tense few moments before the plane CH from Pittsburgh arises on the tarmac of the Montreal-Trudeau airport. It was about 0:10 when the crew disembarked from the aircraft. Soon, they were swallowed up in the bus that awaited them, and then move at high speed towards the Complex Bell, in Brossard. Records prove that Mangiola also talking regularly with both players. He had also, according to the newspaper, the credit card statements of the two attackers. Fiesta on St-Laurent Pasquale Mangiola left at the Bell Center with the two Belarussians and were seen several times doing the celebrating in the bars of the legendary St-Laurent. For its part, Roman Hamrlik had less close links with Mangiola, he met regularly in the bars of the metropolis. An atmosphere with a knife to cut During the flight from Pittsburgh and Montreal, the atmosphere was too heavy. Many players seemed to fear what would be revealed by the newspaper. Are the suspicions about the three players are only the tip of the iceberg? A reliable source told us that other events could be much discussed. Depending on what was 24 hours from another source, the pseudo-fatigue Alex Kovalev had been raised to justify fed a player who could do more of a irritant. Informed to the effect that the Russian player was preparing to go to report troubling elements to the General Manager Bob Gainey, a teammate would have even issued threats to the "Artist" in the presence of three other players in the CH. 10. It appears that the story that LaPresse released this morning is not the big bombshell that was supposed to go public. After meeting with lawyers they decided it was too risky to go on... That's what I've heard this morning on CKAC... But then...Why do they throw us all this bullsh*t of the K. brothers???

  18. Two different sources, one oversees, agree that the NJ have serious interest in Jaromir Jagr and are trying to find Jagr a way out of his Russian contract. There are several rumours that the KHL may be in deep trouble here with players across the board being asked to take serious cuts in salary midway through the season. Reports are that the Devils have been in contact with Jagr for over a month now. http://www.hockeybuzz.com/blog/Єklund (2.3% accurate) (2.3% accurate)/Mult...JagrNOW/1/18749 I seriously doubt this will happen but it would be pretty sick if it did
  19. The Devils are closing in on a deal for Khabibulin. It does appear that this is the case. There is little doubt that the Devils will let this go much further. Look for Cam Barker to be included going to the Devils. The San Jose Sharks and the Dallas Stars are both interested in the Devils John Madden. Makes sense. He is a tough player to play against and in the Sharks case could be the difference in the epic Detroit playoff series to come. http://www.hockeybuzz.com/blog/Єklund (2.3% accurate) (2.3% accurate)/Its-...-CH8230/1/17899
