Now it's officially a done deal. this is exciting!! Getting to a game will be so much easier for hockey fans as far south as Trenton and even in NYC. Newark is the right move for all involved. The public transportation alone makes it worth it in my mind. Not to mention, an actual street to hold the victory parade We can all rest easy and continue to wear the NJ logo proudly

you'd be comparing apples and oranges. today;s NHL is much different than it was in the 80's . Operating costs have probably skyrocketed.

The current MSG was most certainly not built in the 30s. The original Penn Station was torn down in the 1960s. A Newark Arena will attract more people from Central NJ because they will be able to take a train right to the arena. If you don't think this is a big deal take the train with me to or from a Devils/Rangers game at Penn Station Arena. in fact, wasnt the original MSG on the East Side of the island? MSG is an ideal place for an arena. I routinely go to Devils/Rangers games via train from Hamilton. It's easier for me to get there than it is to get to the CAA. Newark is an ideal location. I'm not sure how many people would take NJ Transit to a game in Newark, but if the arena were within walking distance of the station, I'd do it. There would however, have to be many other infrastructure upgraeds in the area though and there probably would be. cafes, bars, restaurants etc. it's a good idea anyway you look at it in my opinion

I could not agree with you more!!!! I am proud to wear anything with the Devils NJ logo on it. it may sound corny, but I like the Devils almost as much because they are not from Philly or New York just as much as I like them for being a heck of a good hockey team

word on the street is that Jefferson is not a mucker and grinder. He's a smooth skating scorer. Danton on the other hand is the epitomy of a mucker.

he's an immature tool. period. he has not acted like a professional since he's been in the NHL, EVER. sending the puck back to the Devils locker room proves it. as a fan of the game, i have no time for selfish players of his ilk. he is simply not a team player. we're not talking about his skills here. and unless you're Mike Danton-Jefferson, I dont appreciate being called a tool while I'm having my SUnday morning coffee

hang in there Derek. eventually, the situatiuon will reach a boiling point and dolan will be forced to change his ways. eventually, fans are going to stop showing up and it will hit him in the wallet. lets put it this way, if they dont stop showing up, then they deserve the product he gives them. it's one thing to support your team thru thick and thin. When your team plays hard and makes an effort but still loses is a lot easier to stomach than what the rags have been throwing out on the ice
