I think its one of those two: They like a kid that is flying under the radar and think they can get him with the 29th pick OR They like a kid that is suspected to be drafter earlier (than 29th) and will try to move up for him and they needed to keep that pick for a possible trade.

I think it was an instinct reaction. He got hit in the helmet and thought the stick touched his face. Maybe he played a little when he went to the bench and started touching his face, but maybe it was because the ref had already called the penalty and it would've been bad to just skate to the bench and sit as if nothing happened after his initial reaction.

I never went to a watch a hockey game in Philly, but I guess that even if they have the reputation of being violent and stupid, you just have to ignore the idiots and wear your colors proudly. Maybe also not celebrate too much when the Devils score haha

Xactly, its a team game and right now this team does not play 60 minutes. Last night after these 3 goals scored in the first, we completely gave up on the physical part of our game, gave up the tight back checks in our end, gave up our aggressiveness on the puck and we even played lazy and got something like 3 penalties in 10 minutes and the cherry on the cake was our special teams who couldn't even present a decent PK to keep the lead or a decent PP to get us back in the game.Marty is supposed to do all that ? Like I said, start playing 60 minutes a game or the goaltending argument/problem wont even be worth discussing. Also what the heck is Deboer doing ? Volchenkov is on the ice for I don't know how many goals and he still find ways to get him on the ice for every one of the 4 goals scored yesterday and 3 of them were on the PK. Double shift someone on the PK or do anything.

Did Brodeur look awful tonight ? Yes he did, but honestly I don't think the fault is on him alone. We stopped playing, stopped giving those punishing checks that really seemed to destabilize this Panther team. We stopped putting energy and started piling up penalties on penalties and the special teams especially the PK were awful, giving too much space for the Panthers to move the puck freely. They woke up in the middle of the 3rd period when it was already too late. I agree Brodeur was far from being good, but until this team starts playing 60 minutes with the same level of energy and aggressiveness, the goaltending will be a problem that wont even matter.

I agree. Zajac still looks off and when the made the change the difference was great. Send Zajac to the 3rd line and Henrique back with Kovy and Parise.

There is no little opponents, I think that we've got to look at them the same way we would look at any other team. - Go there, play hard, win a game in their building. - Make sure that we don't lose a game at home.

Unless its a record of most games without a goal or something bad like this, I'm always happy to see a Devil hold one.

In the past years, our playoffs performances were very similar to the performances we had against these teams in regular season. Carolina: I think we were 2-2 against them and we lost in 7 Philly: we were something like 1-5 during season against them and we lost in 5 Rangers: we were 1-5 against them during season and we lost in 5 If this is the trend this season too, I prefer getting Philly or the Rangers. Our record against the Panthers is horrible...1 win 3 loss I think.

I think its more of motion than kicking motion. If the player skate (like Cooke) is making any motion that helps the puck get into the net then its a no goal. Cooke clearly turned his skate in a way that helped the puck get into the net. If the player is standing and the puck hits his skate and get in then its a goal. You can't start taking away goals that get in after hitting standing players who can't really see it coming and don't have any control on where it does hit them.

This is just a carbon copy of the past seasons. They seems like they don't even want to play. Start a slump going into the playoffs and get eliminated in 5 games. What the fvck is wrong with this team. I can understand a 3-4 or even 5 losses in a row slump, but only when we really try. The past 3 games were effort less.

TSN on Kotsytsin, Oduya and all the other players that were rumored: TRADE BAITS INCARCERATED BOB on the same players: Kotsytsin traded !!! (Something like 3 hours before TSN broke the news) Rumored and traded is different. If you're not impressed or don't like the guy fine, but I prefer following a guy that is 4 for 6 than a bunch of other guys who can tell me that this guy or this players is rumored or likely to be moved based on the fact that his team is out of a player picture (I kinda know the drill since its the same thing every trade deadline)
