Not allowing an NHL player to play for his country is like saying, "You're really good, so we want you in the best league in the world. But now you'll be too good to be in the olympics." Olympics > NHL. And if the Olympics features the best athletes in the world, how are you going to deny a player just because of a certain league he plays in? I'm interested to know what other leagues such as the KHL do during olympics, especially when the nhl isn't a part of it. I see it as a penalty to play for the NHL during Olympics if you won't be allowed to take part. You want to see all these college kids play against professionals about 10 years older than them, many having NHL experience. I would see no chance in Canada or USA winning any kind of medal. Which exactly why it was a "miracle" when they beat Russia.

as i said before. If I was a definite for the Olympics, and the NHL tried telling me I couldn't play for my country. I would sign with another league for that year. I'd rather have a gold medal that you only have a chance to win every 4 years instead of a stanley cup that you have a chance to win every year.

it's only 2 weeks of interruption. Not 3. Also, does anyone know the status for AHL players if this goes through?

I think the reason why he no longer works for the Devils is because fans were unhappy that he was a fan for hire. But the Devils did hold a Super Fan audition before the start of the season. The same time they had cheerleader auditions. I thought it was a perfect chance for everyone who said "I can do a better job than him!". But I don't see any new super fans. Nor did I see any pics on the Devils website after it. My guess is no one even showed up for it.

I wonder if we're going to start seeing Langenbrunner up front during power plays. He was great at screening marty tonight.

I disagree..I like the racing. Nash would have beaten out one of the icings. What I do think they should adopt is the automatic penalty for a hit to the head.

i like the power play that langenbrunner and parise are working at. Almost had it twice, once with parise and once with kane taking the pass.

my friend is a righty and shoots lefty. He made himself start playing lefty since his favorite players were lefty shots. I play pool lefty and can bowl lefty. Everything else is righty though.

I originally posted the standings through 41 games. Someone said they wanted to see the standings after 61 games. I took 60 games from each team since that is the least amount of games played by all. Which is giving up quick goals. I have calculated the time between each goal. As you can see there are several times where the Devils let up quick goals (11 times under 5 minutes in 17 games) and mostly could not come back. I have also included the time between periods. (example: 6:44 between the first and second goal, 5:46 between the second and third goal). I went from the game after the double shutout vs the rangers to now.
