That's the rule :)  I was close to starting one because I wanted to post earlier and didn't see one, but didn't wanna jinx it.  I already did that to MD2020 accidentally earlier this year

    LGD

Yeah I totally forgot, I'll keep that in mind if they win!! I had a pretty good streak going earlier this season, let's see how it plays out!!

At this point, why the hell not??

Exactly! I remember when Zacha got his first games a few seasons back at the end of the season, that was cool. I'd love to see a Hughes to Smith to Holtz for the one-timer on the PP ;)

So rumor has it that Holtz is going to come on over now that his SHL season is over.

And there is one more Reverse Retro game. Whoever bought that Holtz #88, the pieces could fall into place for you...

I'd like to see him get a look!

  4. Happy with the 1st. I’m shocked Travis is gone, but it is what it is. Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s back next year. Thanks for the memories Trav!

A 1st for Palms is great. He hasn’t been playing extremely well and hasn’t exactly been lighting it up this season either.

Other moves are coming. It’s gonna be an interesting few days for sure.

Idk we held Washington to only 19 shots and they still scored 5 goals on Blackwood. Teams bury their chances against us so fvcking easy, whereas it feels like we have to work incredibly hard to score our goals.

Yeah I do feel Blackwood picked it up lately though. Anyways, it's not like Wedgewood has been atrocious in his stars this year. It is what it is.

Did I also hear Cangi correctly, that was our SEVENTH game in a row allowing FIVE or more goals in regulation?!?!  That is....fvcking horrendous.  I'm usually the guy who doesn't want to fire people after less than a season , but this is just downright awful.  Someone has to be responsible because this organization, we've said it before, is getting too comfortable with losing.  It's become commonplace for us to set records....the wrong records.

Meh, I like how Ruff has handled the young guys this year. We're an extremely young team that is going to make mistakes. Unfortunately we're seeing lots of mistakes from our vets.

Wasn't the Buffalo player attempting to rifle the puck out of the zone?  I thought he was behind his own net, so essentially that wouldn't (or shouldn't) be considered a shot or a follow-through from a shot on goal.

Whether it's a shot on goal or not doesn't matter. "if the act is committed as a normal windup or follow through of a shooting motion".

I could be wrong, but I believe it is a penalty - I'm pretty sure the rule is you have to be "in control of your stick", whether it's skating around the ice without the puck, or even the follow-through from a shot.

60.1 High-sticking - A “high stick” is one which is carried above the height of the opponent’s shoulders. Players and goalkeepers must be in control and responsible for their stick. However, a player is permitted accidental contact on an opponent if the act is committed as a normal windup or follow through of a shooting motion. A wild swing at a bouncing puck would not be considered a normal windup or follow through and any contact to an opponent above the height of the shoulders shall be penalized accordingly.
