  1. Yeah but when he took the puck every Devils fan was thinking back to the time he spent here and you can't say that didn't make them boo just a little bit louder than to Oshie and the other shooters.
  2. I'd say that's my favorite type of Kovy-ing
  3. I don't know about that, when Langs skated to center ice the boos seemed to rain down a little louder and harder than usual and it's not like he's the Blues best shooter either, you can't say his past as a Devil didn't influence his boos because it was in the mind of every fan when he came out.
  4. What do you expect him to say about being booed? "Yeah it was a real confidence booster" He's not asking for another reaction he was just answering the question.
  5. Henrique can still work well with Clarkson and Zub though, I love the Elias Kovalchuk Parise line more than any line the Devils have put out in a while, Patty can tone down the aggression Kovy and Zach play with better than any player on the team. Henrique Zub and Clarkson is a great, hardworking line too so it's not like you're really short changing anything putting Elias on the first.
  6. Last I heard Zajac wasn't even skating so he seems like a bit of a long shot
  7. "I loved the emotion Tortorella showed after the goal was waved off, what a guy"
  8. Regardless of his ankle, after last night performance Marty deserves an off day. We're just reading into this too much.
  9. I wouldn't say Kovy is at all incapable of making decisions just as Elias can, as I said before, a big point that concentrates on how Kovy can assess situations and react off of them is the PK and PP. Kovalchuk is leading them both and they're getting better by the day, that paired with his skating and shooting ability makes for one hell of a force to be reckoned with. Granted it's a team sport and they rely on each other but if I'm starting up a team, no question, I take Kovy first
  10. "I could fall asleep to the sweet sounds of Chico Resch, when that guy picks up the microphone it's like a symphony!"
  11. I get what you're saying, I think the main point that we're not seeing eye to eye is I'm comparing physical ability solely where you're siding more with the chemistry and leadership that Patrik can bring. That being said I can definitely see where you're coming from as Elias is a great veteran, team leader that holds together his line better than any forward on the team. I still think taking that into consideration with physical attributes that Kovy is higher than Elias just because the speed and power he posses is uncanny. Also Elias is playing much quieter than Kovalchuk this year because of the flare and intensity Ilya brings and I believe that not only helps the team as much as Elias'play, but allows guys like Elias,Clarkson and Zubrus to hit the ice without as much pressure and attention on them.
  12. Does anybody else see Clarkson's arm going all the way around Kovalchuk and grabbing Foster?
  13. Well look at it this way, if Elias goes down, would you consider that a bigger loss than Kovy? Sure Elias is a great defensive forward, definitely has that over Kovalchuk but even the passing you're not paying Kovalchuk his dues.He can spread the puck around just as well as Elias and Kovalchuk is a huge part of why the power play is doing so well.
  14. How can you put Elias ahead of Kovalchuk? not to take anything away from Patrik but you guys are really over thinking this one. Also nobody seems to want to give Ponikarovsky any love
  15. If Ponikarovsky is the only deal done I wouldn't be upset about it,he's better than nothing, it was a cheap deal and it's panning out greatly in the Devils favor.
  16. So what teams are really big rivals ? I figure that's a good place to start.
  17. The title says it all but, I'm from Long Island and started watching hockey this year. I figured the Devils were close enough to root for so here I am. Any information that can be given from fan to fan would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Cody
