  1. Islanders general manager Lou Lamoriello added another acclamation to his Hall of Fame resume, being named winner of the NHL’s Jim Gregory GM of the Year award for the 2019-20 season. It marks the first time Lamoriello has won the award, which began being given out in 2010. The 77-year-old Lamoriello, who previously won three Stanley Cups as GM of the New Jersey Devils, edged out Tampa Bay’s Julien BriseBois and Dallas’ Jim Nill in voting done by a 41-member panel of GMs, NHL executives and media members. Lamoriello’s key moves in his second season with the semifinalist Islander
  2. You took what I said and reversed it. Having a Stubban doesn't make you a contender, but you can't win a Cup or contend for one without a d-man like him.

  5. I fixed the topic title.. and wow... we'll be seeing Lou at Panera alot again.

  10. I hope they can,... Miles Wood looks to be on a similar course to Gelinas - Mad skills, small brain, flashes of brilliance and many frustrating & boneheaded moments.

  14. Has anyone ever heard of this before? Marian Hossa Reportedly Could Retire over Equipment Allergy, out for Next Season Chicago Blackhawks veteran forward Marian Hossa's career may be in jeopardy due to an allergy to his equipment, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reported Wednesday. Hossa has reportedly been on medication to neutralize the allergy, but doctors have long-term concerns about his health if he continues to take it, which could lead to his retirement. As to that point, the Devils potentially trading down from the No. 1 pick, my sense is that is only a remote possibility. Yet if Shero does get a great offer – or makes one – which can improve the Devils immediately and also keep them higher up in the draft, I don’t think it’s such a crazy idea. Remember, the Devils have plenty of cap space. That, the first overall pick, the potential of Ilya Kovalchuk wanting to return to the NHL (and potentially netting the D
