  1. I met with Lou and he said... No, but I really enjoyed him being honest about the numbers. Of course
  2. I wasn't being totally serious about Gomez, but there's a difference between having players that are prospects in the organization be there, and having an unsigned tryout.
  3. Gomez was here. What does that mean?
  4. Weber: we have just shy of 9000 season ticket holders. The top teams have 13,000 season ticket holders.
  5. Pete brings extreme knowledge to the game. Studies day in day out. He knows how to treat players. He is a "winner" very competitive.
  6. Lou starts my making fun of Daneyko. Talked about Marty always being a Devil and he will always be part of the team http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/10/05/3fc786b0b8edd29f62dbfa879c78fe24.jpg
  7. He's a LOTR fan.. cool Risky? So glad to get this crvp out of the way with BEFORE hockey...just friggin stop the puck
  8. Ask him if he keeps in contact with any of the Devils' players and Lou
  9. I am surprised one of the younger defensman doesn't get #22 That's so Lou
  10. You will have to beat me out for a spot.
  11. Grabbing my skates and heading over to the rock right now.
  12. It's not a major factor but it is one. I am behind the goal on the attacking twice side and now OT winners are on the other side of the ice. I didn't get that choice since I already bought the seats.
  13. "* Teams will switch ends prior to the start of overtime in the regular season." This is terrible for the fans who have picked particular seat in the arena. They just lowered the value of my seats. ...and now there is a long change in the 4-4 overtime
  14. NEWARK — Scott Stevens, who served as a Devils assistant coach under Pete DeBoer the past two seasons, will not be back for a third. General manager Lou Lamoriello said it was a personal decision made by Stevens and indicated Tommy Albelin will step in and replace the Hall of Famer. "Scotty Stevens will not be coming back this year. There is nothing to read into," Lamoriello stressed. "It's not the organization. It's just a decision he made. "I'm sure it's not something that will be long term. I'm sure he will be back in coaching, hopefully here some day. It's just a personal thing. Personal or professional. Any way you want to look at it." http://www.nj.com/devils/index.ssf/2014/09/scott_stevens_steps_down_as_devils_assistant_coach_tommy_albelin_to_replace_him.html

I hope he doesn't hurt himself. He falls down a lot when on skates ;-) Zubes is an awesome guy!
  16. I was just about to post on this.... Harris spoke about missing the postseason in 2014, stressing that he still believes in Lamoriello. “Lou and I are very different. We’re different ages and we’ve had different experiences,” Harris noted. “But I buy into his system and the reality is, stuff happens. It was a difficult situation before we got here. I don’t know how much of that reflected itself. “You had a lot of complexity around Kovalchuk and some other things. It was a disappointing season. I see it. I was unhappy. I didn’t like being home watching the playoffs on TV. I wanted to be in the playoffs. That’s not lost on me. At the same time, good people and good systems can have disappointing years. We’re long term. We’re focused on making this a great franchise over the long term.” Harris on the Devils missing the playoffs two straight years: “In sports something goes wrong, what do you do? The coach gets fired or the GM gets fired. Someone has to be blamed, and I don’t really buy into that. I look into things and assess them from my own point of view. I don’t do things that I think are in the long run poor for a franchise because someone wants me to do something. “I think people change too quickly in sports, as a general matter, because they want to show the public they’re doing something. I don’t think there is any change that needs to occur right now. It’s a proven system. I’ve looked at it from the inside and I’ve looked at it from the outside. I like what’s going on. Now it’s about how can we make it better?” ------ .....I read this as Lou better get us into the playoffs this year or I am guessing Harris may make a change.....or seriously consider it (It is clear he already has given it some thought)
  17. If Lou had matched that deal, there would be a lot of people out here using adjectives worse than that.
  18. W.R.T. Fayne, Lou did not chose to let him go. In fact Lou tried to keep him but he got a ridiculous contract from EDM. Larsson/Gelinas are Lou's second choice.
