This is why you don't let legends run the franchise they became legendary with.

Not for nothing either, but for a guy to leave that much money on the table tells me they didn't do a good enough job selling the organization. If you're Shero, you go full court press- you have Hall and other players reach out. You say to Shattencockbag 'we're building something special here, and you have a chance to get in on the ground floor. Do you wanna be part of something special, or do you wanna waste your time winning jack sh!t for that loser-ass franchise across the river?' Because this isn't the first time Shero has failed to close a deal (Vesey) when the competition has been those fvcking rancid a$$holes from BROADWAY BRAH. Maybe he did do this, Shattenjerkoff still said no, and I'm just looking for someone to blame- but it doesn't sit well with me when dudes are leaving $20 mil on the table.

How do you know shero didn't do that?

regardless, he was never not going to NYR.. he wanted to go home, let him be.

people rip on players for selling out and taking huge contracts... and now we're ripping on players for taking pay cuts to go home and play for their childhood favorites?

All we heard was allllllllll these mooooves that were gonna be able to be made with cap space, an arsenal of picks, the expansion draft- and nada. Zilch. Zip. Shero can try to make a trade, but I doubt that happens either.

lol. used up all the picks, struck out in FA.... but we still have hope in the trade market!! right?

  4. really the only things im paying attention to today are Shattenkirk, what was happening to Fowler, and any trades... realistically the only things that could contribute to NJ being a better team

I have only been to the Philly location, but I don't think every game in all the locations are exactly the same, but I imagine the core ones are in most of them. I don't think there are many super rare games, if any. The Philly one advertises 60+ games. That sounds generous, and they could be including the machines  with multiple games. I imagine they all open covered wall to wall with games. It used to be a quarter per play, but they started using a token machine. I think quarters are still accepted in the games, but yea, pay as you go, no cover.

The one here is in an old carriage house or something. They cleaned it up but didn't make any renovations to the inside besides the infrastructure needed for the bar and kitchen. Old dusty exposed brick, big open rooms and huge windows. But these operations were funded well from the start as far as i can tell. They certainly didn't fly by the seat of their pants, they had the cash to dump into these places.

Funny, I almost ended up there on Saturday, I was around in Fishtown. I had my Devils hat on, too.

That sucks though, I usually started at Rampage because no one was ever on it. I guess that might explain it. As long as Frogger and Tapper are still in there, still reason to go. And their awesome  beer selection.

Haha! Awesome.. if I ever see a Devils hat there I'll call it out

and yes Frogger is where I spent most of my time! NBA jam btw makes you pay for every quarter smh.. still whooped up on my buddy though

Oh man we're really neighbors, I live a few blocks from northern liberties off spring garden. There are tons of awesome places in our area, it's a luxury. I used to go to Barcade more than I do now, it's been a while since I've gone in there to hang out. The weekends are just packed. I should make a point to try to get there more, they're really nice people in there.

Btw I was there on sat and rampage is gone!! Couldn't believe it

I just realized that, and at almost 180 he's not exactly scrawny . Ryan nugent hopkins plays lighter at that height.  And he,s an athlete

What we need is jesper hitting the weight room and wrist rolls.

For the record Jesper is not as tall as Nico but weighs 180.. so he's stockier

Just to put this to rest, Andrew Gross asked Ray about the draft today & this is what he said:

Asked Ray Shero if he ever considered trading down. He said he told staff he wasn't leaving Chicago without drafting Nico Hischier. To clarify, Ray said if a deal made sense to trade down AND he knew he'd still get Nico Hischier, he would've considered. Otherwise, a no go.

I guess this Pronman guy does not have sources in the NJD camp...

I wish these guys would be held more accountable

Shouldn't be surprised. Defenseman after the first round are usually 2/3 year projects. You've got no idea what the team will look like in 3 years, it's always in the best interest to take BPA

yea good call.. maybe just hoping we would've traded up or something

o well, this is such a solid weekend im not gonna complain

Speaking of the Kings, Hischier is often compared to Anze Kopitar. If that happens I'll be very happy with that.

    the Devils will pick 1st, 36th, 63rd, 81st, 98th, 129th, 143rd, 160th, 185th and 191st.
