Zach Parise signed for 13 years at $98 million. An average of 7.538 cap hit. The vid should show it all
-
Maybe we can sign noew someone like Doan, Semin, Sykora, or possible Knuble, and at least we also have some cap space for a goalie in the next few years if we will need one, or to give a raise to Henrique and Zajac.
-
Well, when the contract ends, he will be 41, and being paid 7.538 mil per year till that time.

Where is the option to chant "KOVYS BETTER"?
Just for you, lol.

Well, November 11, at 5:00 PM ,Minnesotta comes to Jersey to play. What should we do when Zach is said starting, or touches the puck?
-
Just the problem is that he was an assett to our team. Lots of peopel are going to be mad about this, and the smoke you see outside may be grills, but others will be Parise jersey's on fire in the street. I just hope we can develop some offensive players now.

Deal is $98 million over 13 years for Parise per Lebrun
-
Close to 100 million supposedly for Parise
-
So, on November 11, when Parise comes back to town, do we boo?
-
-
Very good news. 1/3rd of the 4th line set and done!
-
There's really no need for that. The hats for a regular hat trick is a great tradition that goes back to I think the 40's or earlier. The GH Hat trick was kind of invented to say a guy had a complete kind of game. Gordie Howe himself only had 2.

The Devils tendered qualifying offers to defenseman Matt Corrente and forward Vladimir Zharkov, Along with Mark Fayne.

I am really happy that we are having it nest year. I was thinking about going to Pitt today for the draft, because it was "close" to here, but couldn't go. Now that I hear this, I will definitrly be there at the draft next year

How did Henrique NOT win the Calder? This is a joke, like usual.

Karlsson came out to the pool yesterday after his deal and got big hugs and congrats from a bunch of people. And alfredsson handed him their check for their food.
Barry Melrose was wearing a Don Cherry like jacket that was 8 sizes too big walking through the casino last night.
Malkin came out to the pool today dressed like a 16 year old kid from Iowa w/ a playboy tshirt and some big doofus trucker hat.
Bylsma is at the pool reading his wife's Cosmo magazine.
Saw Henrique and wished him good luck.
Other than Henrique and the Holland story where I was full of liquid courage, it's more seeing from afar.
And you got no autographs???? I would be all over them with something to get signed.A napkin, puck, picture, something!!
Nice stories though. Hope to hear you yell after Henrique gets he calder, and there is that weird silence:"I love you Adam!!"

Well, the NHL awards are happening today, so why not have the 201 NHL New Jersey Devils Awards Ceremony with all the NHL trohpies in it? Some of them have only 2 or 3 choices, so lets see what other people have in mind of "our team":
Hart Memorial Trophy
Vezina Trophy
James Norris Memorial Trophy
Calder Memorial Trophy
Lady Byng Memorial Trophy
Frank J. Selke Trophy
Jack Adams Award (can be head or assistant coach in this one)
Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy
Ted Lindsay Award (formerly Lester B. Pearson Award)
Bridgestone Messier Leadership Award
NHL Foundation Award
General Manager of the Year
Here are my picks:
Hart Memorial Trophy- Ilya Kovalchuk
Vezina Trophy- Martin Brodeur
James Norris Memorial Trophy- Anton Volchenkov
Calder Memorial Trophy- Adam Henrique
Lady Byng Memorial Trophy- Adam Henrique
Frank J. Selke Trophy- Zach Parise
Jack Adams Award (can be head or assistant coach in this one)- Peter DeBoer
Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy- Peter Sykora
Ted Lindsay Award (formerly Lester B. Pearson Award)- Zach Parise
Bridgestone Messier Leadership Award- Zach Parise
NHL Foundation Award- David Clarkson (Clarky's Kids)
General Manager of the Year- Lou Lamoriello (Sorry if I butchered his name)

I would not mind taking Jarret Stoll. He has great faceoffability, in which we all know the Devils need, and as he showed in the finals, he is a very good PK man. That is if Suter signs somewhere else.

Did you get Msweet's autograph as well?
I was tempted, but I didn't have anything for him to sign. Only 2 kovy pictures, and a puck.

It was fun time, definitely. I just figured out why Zidlicky wasn't there for the autograph part. I got all but 7 players (9 total) who were there:
Zidlicky
Zubrus
Parise
Sykora
Josefson
Zajac
Clarkson
Janssen
Elias
So, yeah, I got most of them: Kovy, Marty, Moose, ect.
Also, probably the best part was in the Kovy line, where I met msweet. Funny stories, for sure. I was right behind in the bernier line, and a bit after in the kovy line when those pics were taken.

not only 30 goals, but some BIG ONEs too! and his game HAS improved. he's made good passes off his strong board work, he's looking up when he feels that instant of spece
how many penalties has he drawn, quite a few this year. he's strong on his edges, for a so so skater cut another inch off your stick next year clarlsy , congrats
Maybe he's learning a bit from Matt Duchene. They skate with eachother every offseason too.
on November 11, when Minnesota comes to town, what do we do to Zach?

Ok, goodbye. It is not like you know much more than we do.
