And the NHL needs to stop taking cues from Soccer. Soccer is soccer and hockey is hockey. No soccer inspired jerseys. We don't sing songs, we don't wear dopey scarves, we fight, and there is no shootout.
I'm not sure if you were being sarcastic or joking around, but SAP is not for Spanish lol.... SAP is one of the largest companies in the world. its a German company that does software and hardware engineering solutions for practically every Fortune 1000 company in the world. They are also the ones who helped the NHL with collection of stats and a bunch of other things.
Lastly, even though this is run by the NHL, this is still the World Cup of Hockey. As such, it makes sense to include the traditions of fans from countries represented in the world. That includes scarves and singing songs...whether we like it or not.

Tired = Team played previous day, opponent did not; Rested = Team did not play previous day, opponent did.
For example, Devils will play 8 games in which they played the previous night against an opponent that did not play the previous night. On the other hand, Devils will play 10 games against opponents who did play the previous day while the Devils got a rest day.

great find!! I had this on VHS when it came out when I was a little kid. Must have watched it 50 times. Love the fake sound effects and the cheering noises even on the away goals. After watching this video, which game out prior to any cup wins, I thought the devils were the greatest franchise in the history of sports...

Guys if there was an expansion draft held today and we had to pick between Larsson and Taylor Hall its just a no brainer. Even if our first line was Ovechkin-Crosby-Kane I would take Hall over Larsson. Larsson is an excellent defender but he is not among the top defenseman in the game. With Taylor Hall we get a bonafide top 5 LW. If you think a little bit further too, he is one of the best playmakers in hockey. We have finishers but how many playmakers do we have?

Guys...it's time we address the REAL issue. The real issue for the last, I don't know...15-20 years, has indeed been the goal song...but its not our goal song!! I CAN'T STAND THAT AWFUL GOD FORSAKEN CHIME FROM THE BOWELS OF THE EARTH that plays when WE are scored on. That miserable sound is WORSE than my alarm clock noise. There are only two noises in the world that piss me off, the alarm in the morning and the damnable anti-goal horn. To make it even worse, it MORPHS INTO THE MOST DEPRESSING, SOULLESS LETS GO DEVILS CHANT IMAGINABLE. Lets go devils, are you kidding me, we just got scored on and its 9-0 buffalo, don't tell the devils to go.
Anyway...Please join me in this crusade to ban this CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY that is our anti-goal song. I don't care if our own goal horn is a llama shyting in the woods, but I do care that we uphold the principles of the GENEVA CONVENTION and banish this monstrosity of anti-goal song.

Not in the Ironbound but Hobby's is even closer to the arena. It's one of those old school places where one sandwhich is more than enough to feed two people. Plus, they are big Devils fans, which helps. They also have a the Lundqvist special, but it only comes in a bowl (no cups!).

how many goals you think Schneider is going to score this year? and do you think he's going to be on the first or 2nd PP unit?
I have him slotted in for both powerplay units.
I think JM's point is that we're we're practically out of the running for #1 overall simply because we have a reasonable defense and one of the top goaltenders.

Thanks for everything. I can't think of a single person that had such a positive influence on a sports team for such a long period of time without ever playing a game.

What is the track record for top ranked goalies by central scouting?

Lindros was a dominant on both ends of the rink and piled up huge +/- numbers in addition to everything else. Pavel Bure was an exceptional goal scorer but his commitment to defense was less than total. I know who I'd take if I were starting a team. I believe the HOF holds a grudge against Eric but I'm not sure for what.
Also Bure scored 60 goals twice, not 4 times.
lets not get into semantics, I had to go look up the numbers but Bure was over 60 twice, was once at at 58 and once at 59. so for all intents and purposes pretty much a 60 goal scorer four times. He was among the best goalscorers in hockey for about 10 years and was by far more skilled than Lindros, and its not even close. He put up over 40 goals twice on Florida and won the Richard with linemates I don't even know who, Viktor Kozlov? I remember that one season he had 100 points and his next closest teammate had like 35.
For once the HHOF was right. Perhaps his commitment to defense was lesser, but by the same token if I'm starting a team I'm easily drafting Bure before grabbing Lindros. It's like saying you'd rather have Parise than Stamkos. Both elite players, but one borders on generational while the other is a great player.

I'd love to know how after passing over Phil Housley, the group decides that he'll go in now over the likes of Lindros and Recchi? Like does the committee come to an agreement that Mark Recchi is without a doubt a HOFer, but that they should wait a year or two to vote him in so Phil Housley can finally get in?
I'd also love to see how they came to a decision to vote Pavel Bure in years ago, when someone like Eric Lindros, a much better player, still can't get in. These are supposedly some of the smartest people in hockey...and for the last 4 years they are saying that they think Bure was better than Lindros. Absolutely mind-blowing.
please do tell me how 4 time 60 goal scorer Pavel Bure was not as good as 0 time 45 goal scorer Eric Lindros

1995 was the first year I was really old enough to understand hockey. Growing up around this timeframe and having hockey as by far your favorite sport was really something. If the devils never win again, at least throughout my childhood and young adult life they were the best, and it meant a lot
