I was mad in November. Now, I’m just resigned to the fact that this team sucks. Fitz has a lot of work to do to fix this.
Yeah, last night I said, “Of course they folded like a lawn chair.”

Go ahead and take Green’s name off the list right now, Fitz.
You can take that to the bank.

Let’s get back to that prospect thread.

It's honestly feels like we're serving him edibles for breakfast.
😆 That's an apt description of the Teletubbies.

The Penguins play a lot like we do, at least in this game. I guess something had to give.

We know how to lose a hockey game in more than one way. Gotta give credit where it's due.

Chico: “People keeping saying that the Devils play down to their competition, but I don’t think that’s the case.”
Yes, Chico, it is.
Chico with a stinging remark there. Says they're not too good.

There’s no denying that it was Brunette at this point.

I’m hoping that the next staff basically tells him that he’d better add some seriously physical play to his game, or his future here is going to be very limited.
He's had good moments, like the Wrecking Bahl shift against the Rangers in the playoffs last season. I think it's in him, hopefully a good coach can help him be more consistently physical.

Given how pissed Crosby appears to be about the state of the Penguins, starting to wonder if the seemingly unthinkable happens, and he asks to be moved to a team where he can try to win one last Cup. He has one year left on his current contract.
I kinda doubt that will happen but you never know.

A crap trade to cap a garbage season.
Anyway, good luck, Toffoli. -

I know Fitz is going to continue to get ripped in many circles, and I fully get why, but I’m now to the point where I need to see what’s next…starting with the deadline. Basically need to see the “recovery” plan as it unfolds.
I agree. I don't like what he said about how tough it was to fire Ruff, I don't like how long it took to fire Ruff, and I don't like how he let this season die on the vine. But I'm OK with giving him a chance to fix it.

Flip to Monday, and there was one tweet (x?) that stuck out to me almost glaring warning sign, not going to search for it before I leave for work, but the gist of it was 'Every personnel move Fitz makes it takes a toll on him. Firing a coach, trading a player, etc'
Red flag. Now that he's finally fired Ruff, maybe Fitz can get some ice water coursing through his veins. But I doubt it.

One of my friends who's a Ranger fan already hates Jack and now hates Luke too (he thinks they're too cocky).
It's special and gratifying to have players that rival fans despise.

I want other fanbases to hate Jack. If they don’t something’s wrong lol
When Jack skates and he's darting all over the ice, he reminds me of the skinny guy from Nintendo NES hockey.

Anyway, I know Devils fans are down bad when they’re even coming after Jack.
It’s also funny to me that people complain when players show no emotion, and get accused of having no fire, not caring, etc, but when Jack is the total opposite people are still mad.
I remember Sidney Crosby was accused of being “crybaby” for years.
Good post. A lot of fans are so mad, they’re spitting bullets everywhere.

IDK, seems like the rot has gone deep.
I want to reject the very thought of it and hope like hell a different coach can get these guys pulling in the same direction. But there's that nagging doubt ....

Chico on the the third FL goal:
“That was not a breakdown. That’s a goal you really need you goalie to stop.”
Chico, defender of goalies near and far, who never sees any glass as half empty can’t even lie any more about how horrible the devils net has been.
I need to listen to the radio broadcast more often.

I saw it as a big problem. Selective accountability is poisonous. Players cannot be comfortable in such an atmosphere, including the ones who seemingly escape criticism. The Fitz press conference where he said Holtz hasn’t had a good season still bugs me. We obviously don’t know everything because we are fans, but it looked horrible. There’s a perception that Luke Hughes escapes criticism because he’s Jack’s brother, and that’s not good at all.
