Jesus, people. Calm the F down. I thought the Devils played very well tonight. I am mightily annoyed about this team's propensity to find a way to lose games right now, but I'm not mightily concerned...yet. This team has undergone a tremendous transformation this off-season. They've had all of a handful of games to try to get the alchemy right, since the pre-season was mostly about trying to determine which youngsters are ready for the show. So, to get 40+ shots on net, many of which were high quality, with the team they iced tonight actually gives me reason for optimism. As for Brodeur, let's not forget he out-duelled Miller Wednesday. Once the chemistry gets going, the pucks will start going in the net on O, and Brodeur will tighten up. There's still 70 some-odd games to go. While the results leave a lot to be desired, I think I see signs of the team coming together.
They did not play poorly tonight. The 'Lanche had the better goaltending. It happens.
