  1. hehe, planned to participate in the draft but for some reason didnt make it.

I had a list of 3 players that i wanted to keep an eye on in ekman larsson, paajarvi svensson and hall. the plan was to have one of them as a wild card but when i wasnt there i ended up with all 3 of them, probably a great deal earlier than i would have needed to pick one of them :D

should be an interesting year, as i seem to be ok at center and in goal

  2. easy, better job and a language that actually can be understood :) + i wasnt too sure i could survive another long cold winter.

wanted to try central europe for awhile, and got a good offer from a fast growing company.

dudesons are great though :) and

their command of english is pretty much how most people speak it there :)

  3. how do we yell 'shoooot shoooot shooooot' in sweedish?

According to Google Translate: SKJUUUUUUUUUUUUTA!! SKJUUUUUUUUTA!!

that's actually to shoot, to shoot...

instead its skjuuuut, skjuuuut with a prononciation of something like shhhhhut (as if you would shysh someone)

  4. Cormier is like Simon or Domi? What a joke. Cormier isn't just some goon. He's a high draft pick with offensive talent and leadership skills. He's a guy that wants to finish all his checks and stuck out his arm in a natural human reaction to the guy jumping out of the way. It was stupid, and unfortunate, and he should be suspended, but it wasn't like he planned it. Why would he want to intentionally elbow this random guy for no reason? And don't just say "He's done it before, durr", because the WJC elbow was completely different - that was in a very chippy, dirty game with players taking shots back and forth on both sides. Cormier elbowed the guy to send a message that his team wasn't going to be cheapshotted without payback. That was dirty, but it wasn't for no reason. Plus, it wasn't vicious and at a high speed, it was more of a shot on the way to the bench. Anyway, unless there's some backstory between Cormier and Tam that nobody knows about, there's no reason for him to do this on purpose, and it's nothing at all like his elbow at the WJC, which was done to stand up for his team and send a message. People are just trying to stir up more controversy and turn Cormier into an evil villain when there's no real evidence to support that this was planned attack. The hit wasn't premeditated, it was reckless - he wanted to cream the guy and in reaction to him dodging at the last split second he threw an arm out.

Has he ever swung his stick at an opponent's face? Has he ever pulled a fan over the boards and tried to beat the crap out of them? No? Then he's NOTHING like Simon or Domi. Don't act like you know everything about this player and that he'll never mature. You don't know that, nobody does. All you know is what you've seen in Youtube clips of him, which show one or two bad hits he's made out of the hundreds or thousands he's made in his career. It's idiotic to take a couple of bad hits he's made out of context and turn him into some supervillain who needs to be banned from hockey.

    mrs cormier, is that you?

  5. let's see, Martin's botch, letting Clarkson come back 2 weeks early so he misses another month+, and now letting Patty fly with a concussion, effects to be seen.

think it's pretty obvious they've maximized the impact of the somewhat limited number of injuries they've had

What impact would that be? The team is top in the east right? I'd say there has been very little impact so far where it matters... in the standings :)

  6. And I think that's sorta what I'm saying too. I mean the guy made a bad, dirty play that he'll probably see a game suspension for and there are people out there hoping he gets kicked out of the whole tourney, stripped of his captaincy, never makes the NHL, it's way out of proportion with what he did.

well, that explains the rant i guess, dont group me into that lot

1-2 games is fine and i hope it was just a one time thing for him

  7. Then you wouldn't want Ovechkin who threw his knee out of reflex a week or two ago either? Why stop there, anyone who took a slashing penalty should be off the teams as well since those can break bones. Also fights can lead to concussions so we should kick anyone out who has any of those.

relax. i was just replying to the "a player came close and he just put his elbow up on reflex"

as for your "why stop there :soap: rant "... :noclue:

  8. Possible Lines for next year

    Parise Zajac Langenbrunner

    Elias Zubrus Rolston

    Pandolfo Cormier Clarkson

    Tedenby Josefson Bergfors

    Extras: Henrique, Leblond, Halischuk

i dont see josefsson or tedenby being with the big team next season. my guess would be that tedenby goes to lowell and josefsson stays one more season in djurgarden. nor do i see any point in having henrique or halichuk being extra forwards.

  9. Well I think it was definitely a dirty play and one I don't like to see happen. That being said I thought it was going to look a lot worse from just reading about it and then I saw the Youtube clip and it looks like a not unusual dirty play. I thought I was going to see Cormier smashing his elbow full force into an unsuspecting player, like Domi on Nieds, instead it looks to me like Cormier thought the guy was going to turn into bump him so he got set to receive the shot, the guy tries to duck around Cormier and he throws his elbow out in a bit of a reflex. Definitely a dirty play, I don't like it, but not the vicious play I've read from some places.

im not going to comment more than that im not so sure that i want players that throws elbows out of reflex on the team

  10. as for urbom...

I guess we never get to know if the official reasoning was the actual one. But, the defenders picked all play in a more competitive league than he does so...
