Ugh. Same here. Don't blame FiOS, though...I reserve my disdain for Dolan. If the occasional SD hockey game is the price I have to pay for getting Optimum out of my life, it's worth it.

As a new member, I will readily admit, I don't know as much about hockey as many folks here. I never played as a kid, and didn't really start habitually watching it until 6-7 years ago. Was more of a casual fan before that. I do know enough about sports, though, to know that you don't go benching players 2 games into an 82 game season, when you've won both games. Tuesday against Tampa will be a real test for us. I think we can win, but not if we continue to make mistakes and give up penalties. Hopefully we can be more disciplined.

Good teams make adjustments when they need to. Good coaches don't over react or start changing too many things when a team is winning. They also know that 2 games is not a huge sample, and that as long as a team is winning, it's ok to give the 4th line a little more time to get it going. When these mistakes cost us a game, then maybe it's time to make a move.

I think after two games (both of which were victories) it's a little impatient and ridiculous to be talking about benching anyone.

Checking the score at intermission of the play I'm at...looks like we're rolling! Hopefully all the penalties don't let Florida get back in the game. LGD!

I have both also, and today decided to set up alerts for the Gamecenter app, since the ESPN alerts have become laughably unreliable. I opened settings only to discover alerts were already on, and I just didn't get any. So, yeah...same experience as you.

Unfortunately, the wife and I are celebrating our anniversary this weekend....heading into the city for a show Saturday night.

Well gents, it was a pleasure participating in my first regular season GDT as a member of this forum. Glad to see a win, though a less heart attack-y one would have been nice!
